    • An apparatus is disclosed which controls the speed of a motor driving a load. A speed controller finds the difference between a command speed value of the motor and a detected speed value of the motor and generates a command current value of the motor on the basis of the difference. A current controller controls current in the motor on the basis of a difference between a command current value received from the speed controller and a detected current value. A torque detector is mounted on the shaft, whereby the motor is connected to the load, for detecting torque acting on the shaft, and an adder adds the detected torque signal detected by the torque detector to the command current value received from the speed controller, the torque detection signal being a correction signal for controlling acceleration torque of the motor.

    • A first aspect of the invention is concerned with fuels and particularly jet and diesel fuels which comprise blends of substituted mono cyclohexane material and two ring non-fused cyloalkane material. The first material may be n-propylcyclohexane or n-butylcyclohexane. The second material may be nuclear substituted bicyclohexyl and may include cyclohexylbenzene. A second aspect of the invention concerns producing constituents for the fuel from heavy aromatic materials by breaking down the heavy aromatics to naphthas, separating light napthas and other constituents of the fuel before reforming a heavy naptha fraction to provide a BTX fraction which may be treated by hydroalkylation or pyrolysis to provide two ring non-fused cycloalkanes. The product may be enriched by hydrogenation.

    • This specification discloses certain improvements in resealable pressure releasing closures of the type disclosed in U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,105,134 and 4,155,480 Debenham et al. In the several improvements disclosed in the specification, the resealing properties of the closure are improved by reducing the concentration of the flexure of the closure at the connection between the closure and the can end to thereby reduce the extent to which the material defining the connection permanently deforms during the opening operation. In one embodiment the pressure releasing closure or tab 20 has a connection 23 to the can end which is at substantially the same level as the adjacent portion of the closure by the provision of an area 26 immediately behind the connection which is downwardly depressed so as to be co-planar with the tab 20. In another embodiment the upwardly raised bead 31 extends from the connection 32 into the closure 30 to substantially stiffen the connection 32 and discourage bending of the sheet metal at the connection 32. Other embodiments involve the cold reduction of the pressure releasing closure and the shape of the closure to make the bending thereof more uniform during the opening operation.
