    • The present invention relates to a lever arrangement (10) for a microtome (1). The lever arrangement (10) encompasses a first lever (11) and a second lever (12). The guidance segment (20) coacts with the two guidance surfaces (17, 18) in such a way that a rotation of the first lever (11) in a first direction (23) rotates the second lever (12) in a target direction (25), and a rotation of the first lever (11) in a direction (24) opposite to the first direction (23) likewise rotates the second lever (12) in the target direction (25). The lever arrangement (10) according to the present invention makes possible an advance of a specimen in a microtome upon actuation of the lever arrangement (10) in two substantially opposite directions (23, 24).
