    • A circuit board assembly for installation in a cabinet includes a first standards based size first mounting frame portion having a PCB mounted thereto. A second mounting frame portion is connected to the first mounting frame portion having no portion of the PCB connected thereto. A combination size of the first and second mounting frames defines a larger second standards based size. Multiple heat transfer components may be connected to the first or second mounting frame portion provide a conduction/convection cooling path. The first mounting frame portion may include a first false board edge and the second mounting frame portion includes one or more false board edge(s) positioned laterally and oppositely directed to the first false board edge. The first and second false board edges are slidably received in opposed slots created in a cabinet.

    • A wedge-lock for a rack mount system having a top plate with slots formed in each end. A bottom plate is disposed adjacent the top plate, and has an incline surface at each end, with a channel formed between the two inclines. Wedge blocks are disposed between the top plate and the bottom plate, with one wedge block at each end. Each wedge block includes an incline surface, a receiving channel formed from the incline surface to an opposing end surface, and a guide for engaging the slot of the top plate. A tensioning member passes through the receiving channels of the wedge blocks and the channel of the bottom plate, thereby retaining the wedge blocks to the bottom plate. As the tensioning member is tensioned, the incline surfaces of the wedge blocks ride up on the incline surfaces at both ends of the bottom plate and cause the top plate to be forced away from the bottom plate.

    • A mounting apparatus for fixing an expansion card to a chassis includes a mounting plate fixed to a rear end of the chassis, a locating bracket secured to the mounting plate, and a locking member slidably mounted to the locating bracket. The expansion card includes an L-shaped block piece, which includes a block portion abutting the mounting plate, and a coupling portion perpendicularly extending from an end of the block portion, and received in the locating bracket. The locking member includes a pressing arm pressing the coupling portion of the block piece to fix the block piece to the chassis.
