    • An injector housing (1) of the injector has an indentation (2) in which a part of an actuator housing (4) of the injector is located. A floor of said indentation (2) is formed by a peripheral support surface (3) for the actuator housing (4). A bottom surface of the actuator housing (4) is oriented towards the support surface (3) and has a peripheral recess (11). This recess (11) is such that the bottom surface of the actuator housing (4) has at least one peripheral projection (12), which is oriented towards the support surface (3) and is adjacent to the support surface (3). A seal (13) for preventing leakage along interfaces between the injector housing (1) and the actuator housing (4) is locate din the recess (11) and is adjacent to the support surface (3).

    • A liquid fuel injection system includes an injection unit for atomizing liquid through application to the fuel vibration energy induced by the operation of piezoelectric/electrostriction elements, and a discharge valve for discharging pressurized fuel into the injection unit. Only during a period of time when an intake valve of an internal combustion engine is closed, an electric controller supplies a drive voltage signal of a certain frequency to the piezoelectric/electrostriction elements of the injection unit so as to operate the piezoelectric/electrostriction elements, and a valve-opening drive signal to the discharge valve so as to discharge fuel into the injection unit from a fuel path of the discharge valve.

    • An exhaust driven turbofan to operates a generator, for generating electrical energy, which is stored in a battery until needed. An air blower is powered by energy from the battery, to generate pressurized air. The pressurized air passes into the piston chamber when the gas pedal is depressed, independent of the rotation of the crank shaft. An exhaust blower powered by the battery, sucks air from the piston chamber during the exhaust stroke, ensuring complete removal of the exhaust gasses. Valve overlap timing is no longer needed, eliminating the dwell time between intake and exhaust gasses. A non-ferrous wheel having ferrous portions is anchored in spaced relation about the outer periphery of the non-ferrous wheel, to assist the rotation of the crank shaft. At least one electromagnet is selectively energized to aid rotation of the non ferrous wheel. A diesel injector nozzle is positioned across the head of the combustion chamber for direct injection of diesel fuel as the piston power stroke approaches maximum extension. The diesel injector nozzle includes a sodium filled outer body to delay heating the fuel at the nozzle. Rotating bearings are disposed at every rotational part of the diesel engine.

    • A fuel injector is disclosed. The fuel injector includes a hollow body having an upstream segment and a downstream segment and a valve. The valve has a needle assembly which includes an upstream segment having a first longitudinal channel extending therethrough and a magnetic armature located within the first longitudinal channel. The armature includes a passage extending therethrough. The needle assembly also includes a downstream segment having a second longitudinal channel co-axial with and communicating with the first longitudinal channel. The second longitudinal channel extends through the downstream segment. The needle assembly also includes a seating body located at a downstream end of the downstream segment and a transverse passage located upstream of the seating body. The transverse passage communicates with at least one of the first and the second longitudinal channels. A method of fabricating a needle assembly for a fuel injector is also disclosed.
