摘要： A fuel injector for use with an internal combustion engine. The fuel injector can include a tube assembly, an armature assembly, a working air gap, a coil, and a housing. The tube assembly has a longitudinal axis and includes a non-magnetic tube having a first end and a second end, and a pole piece disposed inside the non-magnetic tube intermediate the first and second ends. The armature assembly is disposed within the tube assembly between the pole piece and the first end. The armature assembly includes an end face resiliently biased away from the pole piece. The working air gap separates the end face and the pole piece when the end face is biased away from the pole piece. The coil is connectable to an electrical power source and operable to displace the end face toward the pole piece against the resilient bias on the armature assembly. The housing is positioned adjacent the working air gap and supports the coil on the tube assembly. The housing extends around the coil and has a ferromagnetic inner wall extending between the coil and the non-magnetic tube. The ferromagnetic inner wall has an opening with a width that is substantially less than the length of the coil as measured parallel to the longitudinal axis.

摘要： A fuel injection valve includes, in part, a pipe, a fixed connector (fixed core), a movable core, a solenoid coil and a needle valve. In the fuel injection valve, a diameter of a fixed action surface of the fixed connector is made smaller than a movable action surface of the movable core. Therefore, magnetic flux around an outer circumferential portion is transmitted from the fixed action surface to the movable action surface substantially in a direction perpendicular to the movable action surface. Thus, an electromagnetic force acting therebetween is efficiently transformed to an attracting force for the movable core.

摘要： A fuel system has a fuel injector directly mounted with a fuel rail. The fuel rail includes a first portion and a second portion that form a body. The body has an interior surface defining a volume, an exterior surface surrounding the interior surface, and at least one aperture disposed between the interior and exterior surfaces in fluid communication with the volume. The at least one fuel injector has an inlet tube with an inside surface defining a flow path through a portion of the fuel injector and an outside surface surrounding the inside surface. The fuel injector is disposed such that the flow path is in fluid communication with the volume. A rigid connection is disposed between the interior surface of the fuel rail and at least one of the outside surface and the inside surface of the inlet tube. The rigid connection secures and hermetically seals the fuel rail with the at least one fuel injector.

摘要： An electromagnetic actuator has a stator core, an armature and a coil. The stator core is formed as a seamless cylindrical tube having a thin wall as a magnetic restrictor. The thin wall has a thickness sufficient to maintain a mechanical strength of the stator core. A permanent magnet is located on an outside of the thin wall to generate a magnetic flux passing through the thin wall in the same direction as a magnetic flux generated by the coil. The thin wall is magnetically saturated with the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet. When the coil is energized, a magnetic flux generated by the coil gets around the saturated thin wall and passes through the armature.
