摘要： An injection molding process for producing long moldings which is freed from short molding without enhancing the injection pressure. According to the molding process, a molten resin injected into a cavity (33) flows at a lowered flow rate in the interstice (34) between a protuberance (31) and a metal mold (22C) because the interstice (34) is narrower than the other part, while it flows sufficiently into the cavity (33) except the interstice (34) to adhere to a glass substrate (21) tightly. Further, the molten resin flows also into a lip-forming concavity (35) to form a lip having a high filling density.

A process for producing the molded plastic article involves locating the molded body (34, 46) together with the insert part in the region of an edge of the mold cavity, closing the tool unit so that the molded body undergoes deformation and the mold cavity in the region of the emergence of the insert part from the mold cavity is sealed by the molded body.

摘要： In forming a molded member (30) by insert molding, a porous member (10) and a cylindrical member (20) fitted on a peripheral edge of the porous member (10) are set in a die (40); and the molded member (30) is formed with the molded member (30) out of contact with the porous member (10) and with the molded member (30) in close contact with an outer surface of the cylindrical member (20) by the insert molding. Therefore a landed position (first landed surface (45A), second landed surface (45B)) of the die (40) is set on the outer surface of the cylindrical member (20). Thus there is no fear that liquid resin penetrates into the pores of the porous member (10) in the insert molding. Thereby by the insert molding, it is possible to form the molded member (30) holding the porous member (10).

A rib (226) of the cartridge for nucleic acid separation and purification (200) slopes down to the discharge part (224) in a direction from an outer side end part (226a) to an inner side end part (226b). A thickness (T) at an end face (324), which is a part forming the second opening (321) of the cap (320) of the cartridge for nucleic acid separation and purification (300), is made 0.2 mm or more.

摘要： A ball valve includes a housing, a valve member, and a grip. The housing has a valve chamber in the center portion for containing a valve portion of the valve member consisting of the valve portion and a shaft portion extending up from the valve portion and out of the housing to combine with the grip able to rotate the valve member to open or close a passageway formed by the cavity of the valve portion, an inlet portion and an outlet portion at two sides of the housing. An anti-leak gasket is fixed around the lower end of the shaft for preventing liquid in the valve assembly from leaking out. Further, a soft auxiliary gasket is fixed around the shaft portion under the anti-leak gasket for lessening friction between the shaft portion and the shaft hole of the housing to permit the ball valve manually handled to open or close smoothly.

摘要： An encapsulated shelf assembly has a shelf support supporting a panel. The panel has an edge and a one piece member encapsulates the panel edge and a substantial majority of the shelf support. The encapsulated shelf assembly may be formed in a mold apparatus which defines a mold cavity and uses a spacing plug to position the shelf support in a mold cavity of the mold apparatus in a location spaced from the sides of the mold cavity. A method of making the encapsulated shelf assembly includes providing a mold apparatus defining a mold cavity, providing and supporting a shelf panel in the mold apparatus with an edge of the panel extending into the cavity, providing and supporting a shelf support in the mold apparatus with a majority of the shelf support positioned in the mold cavity and spaced from the sides of the mold cavity, filling the mold cavity with a moldable material to encapsulate each of the majority of the shelf support and the edge of the shelf panel, and removing the encapsulated shelf assembly from the mold cavity.
