    • The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one phenol derivative represented by formula (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group containing up to 12 carbon atoms; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C7 alkyl group; wherein R1 and R2 may optionally form a carbocyclic 5- or 6-membered ring; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-C7alkyl group; R4 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C7 alkyl group or a halogen atom; R5 represents hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-C7 alkyl group; and R6 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C7 alkyl group or a C2 or C3 alkenyl group, under the proviso that R2 and R4 can only both represent a hydrogen atom if both R1 and R5 represent a C1-C7 alkyl group and R3 represents a halogen atom. The composition is particularly useful for the blockage of sodium channels and/or influencing the kinetics of sodium channels and thus can be used as local anesthetic, antidysrhythmic, anticonvulsant/antiepilepticand spasmolytic.

    • An infusion pump has a housing (10) accommodating a pump finger mechanism (12). The pump finger mechanism (12) acts on a pump hose (13) fastened at holders (16, 21) of the housing. The pump hose (13) is supported by a door (24). In order to facilitate proper and positionally correct placement of the pump hose, one of the holders (16) includes an oblique pin. The associated transition piece (15) of the pump hose (13) has a hole (18) with the same inclination angle as the oblique pin. The other transition piece (20) is of a different structure so that the transition pieces cannot be mixed up. A longitudinal color strip (29) on the pump hose is provided to visually indicate any twisting of the hose.

    • A stomach probe has an aspiration tube (1) and a stomach balloon (7) which is to be held, by tensioning of the aspiration tube (1), in contact against the stomach wall (12) surrounding the cardiac orifice (5).     • A catheter set including an epidural cannula having a dull leading end; i.e., a leading end without a cutting grinding. A first trocar, only the tip of which projects beyond the epidural cannula, may be inserted into the epidural cannula for puncturing. The leading end of the epidural cannula may abut against the dura without the dura being perforated by the tip of the trocar. Thereafter, the first trocar may be removed and the dura may be punctured by a second trocar which is longer than the first trocar and which may be inserted into the cannula. After removal of the second trocar, a catheter may be inserted through the punctured dura into the spinal area, using the epidural cannula as a guide cannula. The puncture caused by the second trocar is entirely closed by the catheter. This opening remains small, since the epidural cannual has no grinding to cut the dura.
