    • A single lens reflex camera includes a vertical open topped U-shaped bracket mounted in the camera body below the pentaprism, a forwardly located lens mount separably coupled to an objective lens and pairs of links mutually pivoted between their ends connected between the bracket arms and corresponding edges of the lens mount to support the latter in a fixed orientation for linear longitudinal movement along the camera optical axis. A light tight collapsible conduit extends between the camera body and lens mounts and includes telescoping members with relatively slidable side and bottom walls and an accordian top wall. A rack carrying slide arm projects rearwardly from the lens mount and is engaged by a motor driven gear to longitudinally shift the lens mount. The motor is controlled manually or in response to a focus detecting device and the lens mount may be motor advanced and retracted or motor advanced and spring retracted. The lens diaphragm is automatically stopped down by a camera housed mechanism and diaphragm control information is transmitted from the lens mount to the camera body.

    • An electrical shutter type TTL single-lens reflex camera, with a movable mirror diagonally located within the photographic optical path to project object light to a viewfinder system during object observation and retractable from the optical path during photographic exposure, incorporates a light measurement device with a first light measuring element arranged for average light measurement of the light reflected from the movable mirror during object observation, at least part of the movable mirror being made transparent, or of a half mirror, to divide the object light into reflected light and light projected through the plane of the mirror. A second light measuring element is located to carry out spot metering on an object from the light projected through the plane of the movable mirror during object observation. A third light measuring element is located to receive reflected object light from a shutter curtain surface and/or the film surface for selection of average light measurement and spot metering on the object during photographic exposure. A manually operable selector selectively connects either the first or second light measuring element to an exposure information indicating device. The third light measuring element is adapted to be changed from average light measurement or to spot metering and to provide respective outputs representative thereof, such that exposure control with average light measurement or spot metering is obtainable from an exposure control circuit responsive to either output of the third light measuring element. In response to the selection of the first light measuring element by the manually operable selector, the third light measuring element is changed over for average light measurement, and in response to the selection of the second light measuring element, the third light measuring element is changed over for spot metering.

    • A motor driven camera has a detachable drive unit, and includes a motor drive circuit which is activated for driving a film wind-up and shutter charge motor on receipt of a signal representative of termination of an exposure. The camera also includes a selector capable of being set at a single frame photographing position as well as at a continuous photographing position, and a control mechanism for preventing generation of the signal with the selector set at the single frame photographing position. A signal generating device is associated with a film wind-up stop mechanism for generating the signal when the stop mechanism is disengaged from a film wind-up and shutter charge mechanism in response to termination of an exposure, disengagement of the stop mechanism being prevented or the signal generating device being deactivated by the control mechanism when the selector is set at its single frame photographing position. The control mechanism is disabled to permit the generation of the signal when a shutter release member is returned from its operative position to its non-operative position.

    • An electrically controlled self-timer is operable only when an eye-piece shutter is moved to an operative position to block extraneous light having passed through an eye-piece of the viewfinder optics to prevent it from impinging on a light responsive element, which is normally disposed to receive scene light having passed through a camera objective to generate an electric signal commensurate with the intensity of the light thus received for automatic exposure control. When a manually operable member is at a predetermined position, the eye-piece shutter is moved to the operative position and a switch is closed to operate a self-timer control circuit. Further, when the manually operable member is at another predetermined position the eye-piece shutter remains at the operative position, or alternatively when another manually operable member is operated, another switch is closed to initiate the operation of the electric control circuit which has been made operable beforehand by the closing of the first mentioned switch. In response to the operation of the electric control circuit, the self-timer operation is initiated.
