摘要： The present invention comprises a stabilized halogen containing polymer, preferably poly(vinyl halide), and more preferably poly(vinyl chloride) composition. A preferred polymer composition is a rigid halogenated polymer such as rigid poly(vinyl chloride). The composition contains at least one metal salt selected from the group consisting of at least one carboxylic acid or derivative thereof having at least two carboxyl groups, at least one carboxyl group and at least one hydroxyl group, at least one carboxyl group and at least one mercaptan, and an aromatic carboxylic acid having at least one carboxyl group. 摘要： This invention provides a stable, fragranced liquid hypochlorite bleach composition in which an immiscible or slightly miscible fragrance is stably dispersed in the bleach substantially without wetting the interior walls of the plastic container for the bleach. This lack of wetting is caused by using as a dispersant for the fragrance, a hydrotrope which does not wet the plastic but stably suspends the fragrance in the bleach.

摘要： This invention relates to a storage and shipping system comprising corrugated containers which house plastic vessels or bottles used to hold fragranced liquid bleaches in which the shipping and storage containers are stacked on top of one another. In the stacks in all of the shipping and storage containers except for the topmost one, the plastic vessels will share some of the vertical component of the compression load caused by the shipping and storage container directly located above a given shipping and storage container. The compression load can cause stress-cracking in the vessels or bottles if strongly wetting surfactants are used to disperse the fragrances. Surprisingly, it has been found that such stress-cracking can be essentially mitigated when an agent for dispersing the fragrance is used which does not promote stress-cracking in said vessels or bottles by substantially not wetting the interior surface of said plastic, and does not decrease the surface tension below the critical surface tension of the plastic. An exemplary agent is sodium xylene sulfonate.

摘要： An aqueous laundry prewash composition includes a cosurfactant system with a hydrophobic nonionic surfactant and a hydrophilic nonionic surfactant providing balanced detergency, a hydrotrope for stabilizing the cosurfactant system, a thickener and water forming the balance of the composition. A thickened aqueous laundry prewash composition is also disclosed including a surfactant system, water and a thickener being xanthan gum to develop a pourable product wherein shear caused by dispensing of the composition tends to reduce its viscosity. An aqueous laundry prewash composition thickened in a similar manner maintains in suspension an insoluble particle component to further enhance prewash characteristics.

摘要： A method for the detection and/or determination of an antigen having at least two separate antibody combining sites or antigenic determinants (i.e. a polyvalent antigen) using at least two different monoclonal antibodies which bind to the separate sites is described. In particular the method utilizes Protein A with a carrier to immobilize a first monoclonal antibody which in turn, can bind to one antigenic determinant on the antigen. The second antibody with a label is provided in a solution and binds to the second antigenic determinant on the antigen. A test kit is described for practicing the method. Novel anti-PGH synthase and anti-PGI.sub.2 synthase antibodies and hybridoma cells producing such antibodies are described.

The composition may be shaped and sized to be inserted into a device configured to be attached over the end of a faucet. The shaped composition comprises a dissolvable region including a functional agent (e.g., an anti-microbial sanitizing agent). A non-dissolvable region disposed adjacent to the dissolvable region may optionally be provided. The substantially non-dissolvable region remains substantially intact as the dissolving region is progressively dissolved, introducing the functional agent into a flowing stream of water.
