摘要： A fire resistant and water resistant expansion joint system comprises a compressed lamination of fire retardant infused open celled foam, one coat of an elastomeric waterproofing or water resistant material on the lamination, and another coat of an intumescent material on an opposing surface of the lamination, thereby providing fire resistance in one direction and water resistance in the opposite direction. The intumescent material may be further coated with a similar elastomeric material, thereby providing fire resistance in one direction and water resistance in both directions. In the alternative, the compressed lamination may comprise first and second opposing layers of intumescent material thereon each having a respective layer of elastomeric material to provide both water resistance and fire resistance in both directions.

The graft copolymer contains a polyorganosiloxane, and is obtained by graft-polymerizing vinyl monomers including a (meth)acrylate ester (b1) having an alkyl group or an aromatic group and an aromatic vinyl monomer (b2) on a polyorganosiloxane-based rubber. The graft copolymer has a volume average particle diameter of 200-2000 nm, and contains 0.1-69 mass % of polyorganosiloxane. A thermoplastic resin composition is also described, containing a thermoplastic resin (A), the graft copolymer, a fluorine resin (C) and a flame retardant (D). A molded article is also described, which is obtained by molding the thermoplastic resin composition.

摘要： This invention relates to a flame retardant polyamide composition comprising a semi-aromatic polyamide, a flame retardant system and a reinforcing agent, wherein the semi-aromatic polyamide comprises units derived from dicarboxylic acids comprising terephthalic acid and aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and aliphatic diamines. In the semi-aromatic polyamide the aliphatic diamines consist of 10-70 mole % of a short chain aliphatic diamine with 2-5 C atoms and 30-90 mole % of a long chain aliphatic diamine with at least 6 C atoms; the dicarboxylic acids consist of 5-65 mole % aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and optionally aromatic dicarboxylic acid other than terephthalic acid and 35-95 mole % terephthalic acid; and the combined molar amount of terephthalic acid and the long chain aliphatic diamine is at least 60 mole %, relative to the total molar amount of the dicarboxylic acids and diamines. The invention also relates to a housing for an electrical/electronic (E/E) connector and use therein of the flame retardant polyamide composition, to a surface mounting process wherein the E/E connector is used and to a surface mounted device comprising the E/E connector.

The composition can include at least one polymer and a hypophosphite salt, wherein the hypophosphite salt is heat stabilized so that when it is heated for 3 hours at 298° C. under a flow of argon flushing at rate 58 mL/min, it generates less than 0.5 mL of phosphine per gram of hypophosphite salt. The polymer can be an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin, a styrene-acrylonitrile resin, a mixture of high impact polystyrene and polyphenylene oxides, a styrene-butadiene rubber, a polylactic acid or a polyvinyl chloride.
