摘要： A safety system comprised of safety devices each worn by a caretaker and up to three people requiring minding, that alerts using color coded LED lights and audible tones when a monitored person is in danger. The device alerts if the person is beyond a preset distance, is close to or is in a body of water, or signals they are in trouble, using phased-array radar coupled with image processing.The phased-array radar allows the remote sensing of water in either daylight or night. The phased-array radar comprises multiple antenna elements including an independent antenna element phase shifter allowing beamsteering. The device scans an object using a preset beamsteering algorithm independent of movement. The multiple antenna elements and beamsteering improve image data accuracy which is then interpreted and correlated with a body of water characteristics. The phased-array radar is also used for caretaker-monitored person communications.

摘要： An abnormal status monitoring system includes a monitored side and a monitoring side. The monitored side includes a first status sensing unit for generating status information of the monitored side and a signal transmission unit for transmitting a wireless signal which includes the status information of the monitored side. The monitoring side includes a second status sensing unit for generating status information of the monitoring side, a signal receiving unit for receiving the wireless signal, and a control unit. When the received signal strength index of the wireless signal is higher than a first threshold value, the control unit compares the status information of the monitored side and the status information of the monitoring side. When a difference between the status information of the monitored side and the status information of the monitoring side is larger than a second threshold value, the control unit generates an alarm.

摘要： Companion and accessory devices can be wirelessly leashed together in a manner that enables the devices to estimate their proximities to each other. One device can periodically attempt to detect a signal from the other device. For each attempt, the attempting device can store an indication of whether the signal was detected. If a number of times that the signal was undetected exceeds a threshold, then the attempting device can perform specified operations, such as alerting a user that the wireless leash was broken. As another example, one device can detect that a strength of a signal from the other device exceeds a threshold. In response, the detecting device can measure signal strengths more frequently. If the measuring device then detects that the signal strength exceeds another threshold, then the measuring device can cause specified operations to be performed, such as data synchronization between the devices or unlocking a device.
