    • This invention is directed to a lampholder for receiving a non-incandescent lamp having a 2-pin base. A surface mountable member for receiving the lamp and which has no voltage transforming circuitry is disclosed. Each pin of the lamp has an enlarged cylindrical shaped end attached to a shaft of reduced diameter. The surface mountable member has two keyhole shaped apertures, each of which has a large circular end aperture and an arc shaped slot for receiving and securely holding the pins of the lamp to the surface mountable member. The circular aperture of each keyhole shaped aperture has a diameter which is slightly larger than the diameter of the enlarged cylindrical end of the lamp pin, and the arc shaped slot has a width that is both smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical end of the lamp pin and wider than the diameter of the shaft of the pin. The enlarged ends of the pins of the lamp, when located in the arc shaped slots, prevent the lamp from being pulled out of the surface mountable member.

    • An occupancy sensing method includes monitoring a space associated with a computer workstation for an occupant, generating an occupancy signal in response to monitoring the space, processing the occupancy signal at the computer workstation, and performing one or more power management functions at the computer workstation in response to the occupancy signal. The space associated with the computer workstation may be monitored by an occupancy sensor coupled to the computer workstation. The occupancy sensor may be adjusted from the computer workstation. A request may be transmitted from the computer workstation to a building automation system in response to the occupancy signal, and the building automation system may perform a power management function in response to the request from the computer workstation.

    • New wiring terminations and methods are disclosed. The terminations may be incorporated into any suitable device such as wiring device which comprises a housing having a plurality of wire terminations. At least one of the plurality of wire terminations comprises a conductive surface and an element. The conductive surface is at least partially disposed within the housing. The element is movably mounted at least partially within the housing and is tool-lessly movable between at least a first position and a second position. The first position of the element actuates the termination such that the termination receives a wire and the second position of the element actuates the termination to removably clamp the wire.
