    • The present invention provides a rotary manipulation type electronic device which permits one to obtain a feel of manipulations during rotational manipulations and produces lilting sounds of manipulations to thereby obtain an audiological sense of manipulations. The rotary manipulation type electronic device of the present invention has a base body with which a rotary body is rotatably combined. An operative element is disposed in such a way that movement of the operative element is restricted by the inside wall of a terminal leading portion of the base body and by leg portions of a leaf spring. Engagement portions engaging an uneven portion of the top surface of a flange portion of the rotary body protrude from the operative element. The leaf spring is brought into elastic contact with the top surface of the operative element.

    • A client computer of the invention utilizes a printer driver for a distribution source printer to send a print job to the distribution source printer. The distribution source printer distributes each print job sent with setting of a preset second port number to multiple distribution destination printers. The client computer includes: a storage unit that stores a first printer driver with property information including specification of a port number, which is specified and used for transmission of each print job and is currently set to a preset first port number, as one printer driver for the distribution source printer; and a printer driver generation module that, in response to an externally given instruction, duplicates the property information of the first printer driver read from the storage unit and changes the port number included in the duplicated property information of the first printer driver to the preset second port number, which is different from the preset first port number, so as to generate a second printer driver as another printer driver for the distribution source printer. This arrangement enables the first printer driver and the second printer driver having the different settings of the port number included in the property information to be readily provided in the client computer as multiple different printer drivers for the distribution source printer.

    • An optical fiber array is provided in which an optical fiber tip end is housed in a holding member (2). The holding member (2) consists of a substrate (3) and a cover plate (5). The substrate (3) forms a sectional V shaped housing groove (4) for housing the optical fiber (1) on a top face. The cover plate (5) covers the top face of the substrate (3). An adhesive is filled between the substrate (3) and the cover plate (5) which fixes optical fiber (1) in the housing groove. A distance Y between the substrate (3) and the cover plate (5) is L / 6≦Y≦L, with Y being the thickness of the adhesive layer and L being a distance from a contact point (P) between the housed optical fiber (1) and the housing groove (4) to the cover plate (5). In this manner, even under severe environmental conditions, a release or delamination of the holding member (2) is not likely to occur, and good optical coupling characteristics can be maintained.
