摘要： A passive haptic interface includes a first element which is rotatably movable about an axis or translatably movable along an axis, the first movable element rotating or moving opposite a second fixed element. The first movable element has a first plurality of magnetic poles spaced periodically at a pole pitch Ps and in the direction of movement, and the second fixed element has a second plurality of magnetic poles periodically spaced at a pole pitch Pr and in the direction of movement, where Ps and Pr are different numbers. A periodic stress is created by the magnetic interaction between the first movable element and the second fixed element in a period Pt. The pole pitches Ps and Pr are chosen such that Pt is strictly less than the smallest of the pitches Ps and Pr.

摘要： A knob with internal switches can be installed on a gear shift to provide a driver with handy access to the switches while keeping a hand on the shifter. This can be very handy during four wheeling. A particular switch can be selected by rotating the lower section of the knob to the switch position for that switch. The selected switch can be activated or closed by pulling a spring loaded sliding piece up into the knob. A lockout position prevents the lower section from rotating while detents provide tactile guidance as to when the knob is in a switch position or the lockout position.

摘要： A rotary-type switch for controlling vehicle lighting is provided. The rotary-type switch may include a housing portion that includes multiple positions that respectively correspond to multiple operation modes and a rotary dial being configured to rotate relative to the housing portion to select an operation mode of the rotary-type switch based on a position identified by a selection indicator. A controller is configured to control and operation mode of the rotary-type switch based on a vehicular power state and when the vehicular power state is OFF, regardless of the position of the selection indicator corresponding to the selected operation mode on either the housing portion or the rotary dial, the controller controls the rotary-type switch to automatically set the operation mode to that defined by an initial-operation position corresponding to a predetermined initial-operation mode.

摘要： Differing from the conventional rotary switches, a rotary switch provided by the present invention is design to perform bidirectional rotation by double shaft, such that this rotary switch has the maximum switching levels of 32. Particularly, two retaining members having a spring accommodating trough are adopted for accommodating the compression springs; therefore, when switching the rotary switch from one switching level to another one switching level, each the retaining member does ensured to fully embed into one of the rotary grooves formed around the disk side edge of the corresponding rotary disks; the reason is that the compression springs suffer to pressing force would not bend during switching the novel rotary switch, such that the functions of the electric product can be switch smoothly and completely.

摘要： The invention is a high temperature control knob that is installed on the power control knob stem of an existing appliance to prevent a material being heated from reaching a predetermined maximum temperature (e.g., the burning point temperature for oil), and thereby preventing an undesired event (e.g., a fire). The high temperature control knob comprises an alignment means having at least one stop that is adjustable about a set of temperature markings containing the predetermined maximum temperature, and may further comprise a dial with an arm that mounts of the power control knob stem. The at least one stop may be aligned to the predetermined maximum temperature by rotating the alignment means about the power control knob stem and tightening a fixing means to hold the alignment means in place. The arm of the dial contacts the at least one stop preventing the appliance from exceeding the predetermined maximum temperature.

摘要： The present application relates to a tool for detecting perforations in hydrocarbon pipelines based on the sensing system thereof. The function of said tool is to pass longitudinally through a pipeline of specific diameter, monitoring the thickness thereof and detecting any hole over the path followed and, in accordance with the data obtained, establishing the distance at which the holes are located, calculated from the starting point, the time at the instant of detection and also the circumferential position and size thereof, all the aforesaid as part of an online process implemented as the tool progresses through the target pipeline. At the end of the run, the information may be downloaded to a computer where it is available for use and for the corresponding decisions concerning integrity.
