摘要： This invention concerns a method for the preparation of polyurea elastomers, comprising: (a) reacting an amine chain extender with dialkyl maleate to form an aspartic ester, wherein the chain extender has a molar amount of amine groups that is less than the moles of dialkyl maleate; (b) blending the aspartic ester with one or more polyoxyalkyleneamines to prepare a resin blend; (c) contacting the resin blend with an isocyanate under conditions effective to form a polyurea elastomer. This invention also concerns a a polyurea elastomer, comprising the reaction product of (a) a resin blend containing one or more polyoxyalkyleneamine and an aspartic ester and (b) an isocyanate, wherein the aspartic ester in the resin blend comprises a reaction product of an amine chain extender and a dialkyl maleate, wherein the mole ratio of amine functionality in the amine chain extender to dialkyl maleate or fumarate is greater than 1:1.

摘要： Poly(oxytetramethylene) diamines useful in the preparation of polyamide and polyurea elastomers are prepared by the catalytic reductive amination of a poly(oxytetramethylene) glycol feedstock under reductive amination conditions in the presence of ammonia and hydrogen using a hydrogenation/dehydrogenation catalyst composed of, on an oxide-free basis, about 70 to 75 wt. % of nickel, about 20 to about 25 wt. % of copper, about 0.5 to 5 wt. % of chromium and about 1 to 5 wt. % of molybdenum.

摘要： A novel gasoline-soluble reaction product, a concentrate comprising the reaction product dissolved in a hydrocarbon solvent, and a haze-free, deposit-resistant and ORI-inhibited motor fuel composition comprising the reaction product is described. The reaction product is obtained by reacting a dibasic acid anhydride, a novel diamine containing block copolymers with polyoxyalkylene backbones, and a hydrocarbyl polyamine. Motor fuel compositions containing the reaction product additive of the instant invention are haze-free and show improved deposit-resistance and ORI control in comparison with motor fuels without the reaction product. Motor fuel compositions of the instant invention may optionally comprise a polyolefin polymer/copolymer component having a molecular weight range of about 500-3500.

摘要： A method for the separation of primary amines such as bis-(2-aminoethyl)ether from tertiary amines such as N-(2-methoxyethyl)morpholine which have close boiling points via azeotropic distillation using an entrainer such as monoethanolamine is described. The N-(2-methoxyethyl) morpholine is selectively removed by the monoethanolamine. Surprisingly, a number of structurally similar compounds, such as ethylenediamine, methylethanolamine, water, ethylene glycol and isopropanolamine were discovered to be unsuitable azeotropic distillation agents either because they did not form azeotropes or for other reasons.

摘要： The alkylene oxide adduct of bis(aminoethyl)ether may be reacted with formaldehyde in the presence of hydrogen and a hydrogenation-dehydration catalyst to produce compounds of the formula ##STR1## where R is hydrogen or lower alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R" is methyl or ##STR2## where R is as above. Monocarboxylic acid salts of these compounds show unexpectedly high efficiency as polyurethane catalysts. Smaller amounts of this amine are required to produce foams having the same reaction profile as foams made with prior art amine salt catalysts.
