摘要： An apparatus includes a body configured to be at least partially inserted into a rectum of a patient. The body defines a first passageway and a second passageway between a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The first passageway is configured to receive a medical tool and the second passageway is configured to communicate an insufflation medium. An insufflation port is coupled to the second passageway and is configured to communicate the insufflation medium to the second passageway. A retention portion is coupled to the body and is configured to have a dimension transverse to an axis defined by the body sufficient to retain at least a portion of the body in the rectum. The retention portion is configured to be located beyond an anus of the patient.

The stent includes a plurality of geometric cells defining the stent, which has first and second opposed open ends; and a plurality of wire strands woven to form a plurality of crossed regions defining the geometric cells. 摘要： A suture anchor is disclosed which has an elongated body having a distal end, a proximal end and an exterior surface. An axially oriented bore extends into the body from the proximal end and a proximal portion of the bore has a plurality of abutment surfaces for engaging a tool. The bore includes one or more axially oriented suture passages leading to a suture attachment within the bore. A length of suture extends into the at least one suture passage from the body proximal end and extends to the suture attachment. A screw thread spirals about a portion of the exterior surface of the body adjacent the at least one suture passage. Between the bore and the exterior surface of the body the body has a wall thickness and wherein the suture passage comprises the area where the wall thickness goes to zero.

摘要： A variable length endovascular prosthesis adapted to prevent endoleaks is provided that includes a substantially tubular first graft member having an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a proximal end, and a substantially tubular second graft member slidably engaged coaxially within the first graft member. The prosthesis further includes a substantially tubular fluid-tight connecting member attached at one end to the first graft member and attached at another end to the second graft member. The connecting member is axially compressible and expandable to facilitate engagement of the second graft member within the first graft member while maintaining a seal between the graft members.

摘要： A graft system for intraluminal delivery in a vessel in need of repair comprising a graft, anchoring means, and a strippable sheath around at least part of the graft. A preferred anchoring means is a balloon-expandable stent. Also included in the invention is a method of using the device to treat a body lumen. The strippable sheath is removable by pulling on a drawstring to remove it which permits expansion of the graft. The positioning of the device may then be adjusted prior to stent dilation. A preferred embodiment of the invention includes a bifurcated graft system for intraluminal delivery in an aortic aneurysm comprising a bifurcated graft having a distal region and two legs, an expandable stent disposed in part of the distal region, and a strippable crocheted sheath around the distal region and one of the two legs. The strippable crocheted sheath is removable by untying it to permit expansion of the graft after initial placement within the aneurysm.
