摘要： Provided are a method of operating an engine and an apparatus for controlling operation of an engine, which is capable of appropriately controlling the operation of the engine after cutoff of fuel into a cylinder in which heavy knock occurs, without at once stopping the engine upon detection of occurrence of the heavy knock. The method of operating an engine which has a plurality of cylinders, and which is capable of stepwise or continuously correcting a burning state through fuel regulation including cutoff of fuel, upon occurrence of abnormal combustion, executes a stop or an output limit operation of the engine, and is characterized in that a simulated abnormal combustion obtained by calculating an abnormal combustion state of the engine in simulation is beforehand set, and in comparison of a detection signal as to a burning state of a selected cylinder which is sequentially selected among the plurality of cylinders, with the simulated abnormal combustion signal so as to determine occurrence of abnormal combustion in the selected cylinder in order to execute cutoff of fuel into the selected cylinder.

摘要： A digital joystick operates in a digital mode or an analog emulation mode. In the digital mode, the joystick generates digital data indicating the position of a control stick and the status of buttons and transmits the digital data to the computer. The joystick may be coupled to the computer through a game port or a conventional interface port. Computer software operating within the computer can receive digital data directly from the joystick if it is operating in the digital mode. When in the analog emulation modes the joystick emulates resistances related to the position of the control stick. The emulated resistance data emulates the value of corresponding resistances in a conventional joystick. The resistance values may be derived from a programmable resistor, a programmable impedance, or a programmable current source. Multiplexers may also be used to couple the appropriate resistance value to the conventional game port input.

摘要： In a sewing machine, when the depressed condition of a foot pedal is changed from a forward depressed condition for high speed sewing to a reverse depressed condition for thread cutting, a braking circuit decreases the rotational speed of the machine motor from a high speed to a low speed. The rotational speed is detected by an encoder. When the rotational speed detected by the encoder becomes a threshold medium speed or less, and a needle-down signal is generated from a needle position detector, the CPU of the sewing machine outputs a work fabric feed pitch control start signal to a work fabric feed pitch selector. The work fabric feed pitch selector reduces or nullifies the feed pitch of the work fabric. Under this condition, in response to the next needle-down signal, the CPU operates a thread cutting mechanism to cut the needle and bobbin threads.

The controlling means maintains the holding means at its thread clamping position when the pressure foot is at its non-operative position after cutting the needle thread. The controlling means also maintains the holding means at its clamp position during a predetermined number of stitches at a starting phase of a next sewing operation.
