    • An air bearing gap control arrangement for injection molded solder filler heads. Also provided is a method of providing for a gap control for injection molded solder filler heads utilizing an air bearing arrangement. Provided is a C-ring seal, at the lower or dispensing region of the solder filler head structure, wherein the C-shape is open at the leading edge thereof. Hereby, a prevalent leading edge gap is tightly controlled by means of pressurized air in order to form an air bearing. Downstream of this leading edge is the molten solder, which is contained within a very narrow gap height between the solder filler head and the mold. As the solder fills the pits or recesses which are formed in the mold surface, air will rush out or be displaced from the pits towards the air bearing and is then expelled, while the deposited solder remains in place.

    • Disclosed is a method and an apparatus, as well as a computer program, for associating digitizer tablet stroke samples with entries in an electronic personal information management (PIM) tool, such as an electronic organizer or an electronic calendar. A stroke database has a plurality of time stamped stroke entries, and a PIM database has a plurality of entries each having a time associated therewith. A controller searches at least one of the stroke database and the PIM database to locate corresponding entries in each database that indicate that a particular one of the stroke entries was created at a time that corresponds to a particular one of the PIM database entries. The controller is responsive to the search being successful for forming a link between the stroke entry and the PIM database entry for enabling corresponding stroke information to be visualized in association with the particular one of the PIM database entries. In accordance with these teachings, and by example, a user is enabled to recall and view handwritten notes and other information that were made during a meeting that corresponds to an entry within the organizer database.

    • A notebook computer has a base, a lid and a display monitor located within the lid. The lid also contains a device which may be used to articulate and support the display in various positions away from the lid that improve viewing for the user under limited or cramped conditions. The device uses a linkage member to pivotally move the display out of the lid, closer to the user, and higher above the base. The linkage locks into place in a conventional lower position and an elevated upper position. After the linkage is locked in the upper position, the display may be tilted to a desired angle. Although the device allows the display angle to be increased well beyond vertical, the display does not obscure the user's view of the keyboard while in this position. In low light conditions, the device also incorporates a light source behind the display for illuminating the keyboard beneath the display.
