摘要： A new pressure-only molten metal valving apparatus and method is provided. This novel approach to controlling the flow of liquids eliminates the need for active, moving valve components. Using the natural surface tension properties of liquids, the gas pressure either activates liquid flow when a threshold is overcome or retains the liquid in a head, even when lifted.

摘要： A blood collection system for collecting blood from a body part for diagnostic purposes, comprising a housing with a lancet guide, by which a lancet is guided on a predetermined puncture path, and a lancet drive for driving a puncturing movement of the lancet on the predetermined puncture path. The puncturing movement comprises a forward movement phase in the direction of puncturing and, after reaching a reversal point, a subsequent retraction movement phase in the direction opposite the puncture direction. The lancet drive has a driving spring, which is arranged behind the lancet and is connected to the lancet during the forward movement phase of the puncturing movement so that the lancet is driven in the puncturing direction. The system comprises an oscillation control device for controlling oscillation of the lancet and the driving spring in such a manner that repeated puncturing of the body part by the lancet is prevented.

The semiconductor package includes a discrete semiconductor chip on a die pad, a plurality of bond pads situated next to the chip and formed with a plurality of connecting mechanisms and an encapsulant for encapsulating the chip and the pads. In a preferred embodiment the die pad and/or the bond pads comprise means for vertically and laterally interlocking the pads to the encapsulant. The interlocking means of the bond pads and the die pad significantly enhance the bonding strength between the pads and the encapsulant for preventing delamination or cracking, so that quality and reliability of the quad flat non-leaded semiconductor package comprising a discrete can be assured.

Operation of the gang punch apparatus is efficient and effective and has a high greensheet throughput. A preferred gang punch uses a pressurizable air chamber for controlling punching of the greensheet without damage to the greensheets or gang punch mechanism.
