    • Disclosed is a fluid flow conducting module comprising two or more inlets, one or more outlets, and a chamber that has a first and second blocks therein. Further, the chamber has a gradually wider section in the middle, and two convergent ends. One convergent end is connected to the inlets, and the other convergent end is connected to the outlets. The first block has an acute angle in the front, and is placed close to the first convergent end and the inlets. The second block has a convex surface in the front, and is placed close to the second convergent end. The fluids are injected into the chamber through the inlets, flow through the chamber, and conducted towards one or more outlets for further collection and analysis. This fluid flow conducting module has a wide range of flow speed and a simple structure. It can be used in a wide range of applications, such as cell culture, cell reaction to medicine or bio-chemical detection.

    • The present invention provides for a polymer composite article with a treated filler and methods for making the same. The polymer composite article includes a polymer capable of being formed into a product shape and a treated filler which is dispersed throughout the polymer forming the composite article. The filler is treated by techniques which exfoliate, delaminate or intercalate the filler particles into individual micro and/or nano size particulates and platelets. Ideally, the treated filler has a median particle size ranging from about 0.1 nm-10 μm. The treated filler enhances the rigidity, barrier properties, heat deflection temperature, clarity, nucleation characteristics, fire retardant characteristics and impact properties of the article. In a preferred embodiment, the article is a polymer composite sheet. The products formed from the polymer composite article include containers, cups, bags, sleeves, bottles, cups, plates, bowls, storageware, dinnerware and cookware. The present invention also provides for methods of fabricating the polymer composite articles.

    • A MQW LED structure is provided herein, which contains a carrier supply layer joined to a side of the MQW light emitting layer to provide additional carriers for recombination and to avoid/reduce the use of impurity in the light emitting layer. The carrier supply layer contains multiple and interleaving well layers and barrier layers, each having a thickness of 5˜300 Å, with a total thickness of 1˜500 nm. The well layers and the barrier layers are both made of AlpInqGa1-p-qN (p, q≧0, 0≦p+q≦1) compound semiconductor doped with Si or Ge, but with different compositions and with the barrier layers having a higher bandgap than that of the well layers. The carrier supply layer has an electron concentration of 1×1017˜5×1021/cm3.

    • An automatic clamping analog-to-digital converter (A/D converter) is provided, which includes an A/D converter, a switch, a comparator, a bidirectional counter, and a digital-to-analog converter (D/A converter). Wherein, the A/D converter receives an analog signal from a node, and then converts the analog signal into a digital signal according to a DC offset level. The switch is coupled between the node and a fixed voltage level, and is turned on or off according to a clamping signal. The comparator outputs a compare signal according to a comparison result between the digital signal and an offset value. The bidirectional counter outputs a count, and increases or decreases the count according to the compare signal. The D/A converter converts the count into the DC offset level and provides the DC offset level to the A/D converter.
