The method may further includes subjecting the assembled compact to a high pressure high temperature process that results in the forming of an ultrahard compact including an ultrahard layer integrally bonded with a substrate.

摘要： There is a description of an apparatus that produces corrugated walls in a continuous manner. Prior to being fed into the apparatus there is a composite consisting of an outer layer of a woven or non-woven material having a layer of a cementitious material thereon. Two composites are combined in the apparatus with a layer of polyurethane there between. The apparatus has opposing molding tracts therein through which the composites are fed. The opposing molding tracts have a multiple of inflatable pockets thereon. The spaces between the pockets form the corrugations into which the composites are being pressed. At the end of the run of the molding tracts, the molded corrugated wall is then delivered to a roller run to be dried to its last extent.

摘要： A powder compacting apparatus (1) has a top plate (3), a die plate (9) and a bottom plate (12), combined with each other as follows. The top plate (3) holds upper punches (4) in place by punch holders (5), and the die plate (9) firmly grips a die holder (8) holding dies (7). The bottom plate (12) keeps lower punches (11) in place gripped by clamps (32) so that an amount of powder fed into each die (7) is compacted to give a consolidated powder piece. The die plate (9) is composed of an upper part (9a) and a lower part (9b) so that the die holder (8) is sandwiched by and between the parts (9a, 9b), in such a manner that these parts cooperate with each other to secure each die (7) in position.

The reaction cell includes a heater (18) surrounded by insulating layers and screens. Surrounding the anvils are cylindrical inserts and supporting rings (30-48) whose hardness increases towards the reaction cell. These volumes may be increased considerably if applications require it, making use of presses that have larger loading force capability, larger frames and using larger anvils.

The method comprises the steps of: providing the mold with a lower press core fitted in the lower end of the bore; bringing the mold with said lower press core fitted therein to a powder filling position; displacing the lower press core relative to the mold so as to determine the depth of the top surface of the lower press core from the top surface of the mold; filling an amount of powder material into the mold and strickling off any excessive amount of powder material to the level of the top surface of the mold; pressing at a desired pressure the amount of powder material in the mold to form a powder compact; and displacing the powder compact with the lower press core relative to the mold so as to bring the powder compact to a desired position in the mold.

An apparatus for the manufacture of press moulded bodies is also disclosed.

摘要： A exit chute for a pharmaceutical tablet press machine comprising a first exit chute portion having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is adapted to be secured to the tablet press for receiving tablets formed thereby. A second exit chute portion is provided that has a first end and a second end and the first end is adapted to be removably secured to the second end of the first exit chute portion to form an extended tablet pathway, and the second chute portion includes an aperture therein whereby rejected tablets can be diverted to pass therethrough and accepted tablets will be allowed to pass through the second exit chute portion and out of the second end thereof. An air-actuated gate is mounted to the second exit chute portion that is adapted to be selectively moved from an open reject position wherein tablets are diverted through the aperture to a closed accept position wherein the tablets are allowed to pass through the second exit chute portion, and wherein the selective movement is in response to signals from the tablet press. A circuit device electrically connect the air-actuated gate and the tablet press and includes sensors for detecting whether the air-actuated gate is in a correct tablet accept or tablet reject position. The circuit device acts to stop the tablet press during the tablet pressing operation when a fault in the position of the air-actuated gate is detected.
