    • A back substrate has a plurality of electron emission elements. A display substrate comprises an optically transparent substrate disposed opposite to the back substrate; an accelerating electrode formed on the inner face of the optically transparent substrate for accelerating electron beams emitted from the electron emission elements; and luminescent materials excited by the electron beams to emit light toward the outer face of the optically transparent substrate. A frame member supports the back substrate and display substrate on their peripheries. A vacuum chamber is defined by the back substrate, display substrate, and frame member. A conductor electrically connected to the accelerating electrode is drawn out to the outside of the vacuum chamber. A high voltage connector for supplying an accelerating voltage to the conductor is removably connected to the conductor.

    • A structure of a focusing mesh for a field emission display includes a cathode substrate and a rectangular mesh. The cathode substrate with one edge formed a cathode conductor including a joint area. The mesh includes a plurality of pores formed in matrix and a L-shaped recess formed at one side of the mesh to provide a rectangular strip as a leading wire of the mesh drooped by self weight to contact with the joint area of the cathode conductor. As such, during vacuuming to envelop the field emission display, it will not cause the crack of wire, air leakage and even make easier to be enveloped and increase the good fabrication rate of a field emission display.

    • An electron beam emitting apparatus has a first plate with an electron-emitting device 15, and an electrode 8 opposed to the first plate, and the electrode 8 is applied a potential to accelerate electrons emitted from the electron-emitting device 15. This stabilizes trajectories of electrons and permits an excellent image to be formed without deviation of light emission positions.

    • An image-forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a vacuum container constituted by disposing in opposition to each other a rear plate with an electron source formed thereon, and a face plate having an image display region provided with at least phosphors for being irradiated with electrons emitted from the electron source to form an image and anodes disposed on the phosphors; anode potential supplying means for supplying an electric potential higher than that of the electron source to the anode; at least one electroconductive member provided at a site outside of the image display region on an inner surface of the face plate; potential supplying means for supplying to the electroconductive member an electric potential at a level between a lowest electric potential of those which are applied to the electron source and an electric potential applied to the anode; first and second resistant members electrically connected between the anode and the electroconductive members, having resistances higher than that of the anode and having different resistances from each other, wherein the anode, the first resistant member, the second resistant member, and the electroconductive member are electrically connected in series.
