    • A fluid pressure regulator includes a diaphragm operated leakport controlling low liquid or fluid flow rates. A precisely formed leakage unit spaced from the leakport establishes continuous flow from the input to the output. The leakage unit includes a separate orifice unit having an integral molded body and internal precision orifice establishing the continuous flow. A multiple mold core unit for molding an integral body and orifice including a pair of aligned mold cores have opposed planar surfaces located at the orifice plane. A small gap is held between the opposed end surfaces. The orifice unit is molded as a single plastic element without flash at the orifice. The orifice has a diameter in the range of about 0.001 to 0.030 inches, and may be used in various applications requiring precise low flows. The orifice unit may include an elongated tubular body with an internal orifice molded as single integral members. The tubular body establishes opposite connection permitting connection using standard tubing and the like. Within flow limits, the orifice unit is operable with a bi-directional flow to control precise flows such as intervenous liquids at 100 cc per minute, LP gas burners and other low flows.

    • In accordance with the present invention there is provided a new and improved internal core lifter for molding and ejecting plastic parts having undercuts. The preferred internal core lifter has a core blade with a first end configured to cooperate with the surfaces of the mold for molding a plastic part and for assisting in safe ejection of the plastic part. The core blade may be pivotally mounted at an opposite end for being disposed at a predetermined molding angle in a range of angles for accommodating various molding angles of mold apparatus. In ejecting the plastic part, the first end of the core blade moves horizontally away from the undercut while moving vertical to assist in safe ejection of the plastic part. The coupling may pivotally mount the core blade's opposite end for pivoting about multiple axes, and a support may be provided for mounting the coupling to the mold apparatus to move the opposite end of the core blade as the mold apparatus shifts its mold halves between open and closed positions. The core blade may pivot about the coupling in a first plane aligned with the linear travel of the lower end of the core blade along the support; and, if transverse loads are applied to the core blade, the core blade may also pivot in a plane at an angle to the first plane to prevent binding of the core blade and coupling relative to the support.

    • The invention relates to a collapsible core for a mould. The core comprises three relatively movable assemblies. The first assembly carries a cone, the second assembly carries an inner set of segments which form part of the core surface and engage the cone and the third assembly carries outer segments moved by inclined pins on the second assembly. As the assemblies are moved together the outer segments move radially outwards and the inner segments move axially in between them. Then the inner segments move radially outwards and the cone fills the center of the core. On reversal of the movement, the core is collapsed to enable it to be withdrawn from the moulded article.

    • The invention relates to a mold for producing a T-shaped hose composed of a main hose having a sidewall with an opening and a secondary hose joined at one end to the sidewall opening of the main hose to form a "T". The mold includes a main mandrel for the main hose having a disk-shaped recess on which the main hose is mountable with its opening in registry with the mandrel recess and a secondary mandrel for the secondary hose having a cylindrical recess adjacent to one end thereof. The secondary mandrel is disengageably secured at the one end thereof to the main mandrel adjacent to the recess thereof, so that the mandrels are arranged in the form of a "T" and cooperate with one another to define an interior mold cavity at the zone of connection. The mold further includes an outer mold part that is mountable on the main hose and the secondary hose after each has been mounted on its respective mandrel parts. The outer mold part then surrounds the hoses in the zone of connection to define between the hoses and itself an exterior mold cavity.
