    • A forming box for use in dry forming of a mat of fibrous material, and a forming method. The forming box comprises a housing with an open bottom providing direct access for fibers onto an underlying forming wire and a vacuum box underneath said forming wire; an inlet for supplying fiber material into the inside of the housing; and a number of fiber separating rollers in one or more rows in the housing between the fiber inlet and the housing bottom. An endless belt screen is provided inside the housing having an upper run between two rows of spike rollers and a lower run closer to the open bottom of the forming box. Fiber clumps captured on the lower run of the belt screen are conveyed above fiber separating rollers and are released from the upper run of the belt screen into contact with the fiber separating rollers.

One can regulate the amount of material thus recycled by independently opening and closing the trap doors.

    • A continuous-belt drilling mud separation unit is removably mounted in a box-like housing disposed in the flow path of drilling mud or drilling fluids and is operated by a motor on the housing. The separation unit includes a generally rectangular frame, a tensioning system, and a wide continuous belt in the form of a mesh screen, chain, self-cleaning chain link belt, or combination chain link belt and wire mesh screen which extends around rollers or sprockets and is driven in a continuous loop moving along the longitudinal axis of the frame. As drilling mud or drilling fluids are conducted onto the moving belt, liquids and particles smaller than the openings in the belt pass through the openings and liquids and particles larger than the openings are transported on the moving belt and are discharged off of one end as the belt completes its path. The drilling mud separation system is installed upstream from conventional solids control equipment, such as shale shakers, and removes large amounts of large drill solids and gumbo from the drilling mud or drilling fluid prior to the drilling fluid or drill mud flowing to the conventional solids control equipment. By removing large drill solids and gumbo from the drilling mud or drilling fluid, the present apparatus improves the efficiency and performance and reduces the cost of operating and maintaining the conventional solids control equipment.

    • A sorting apparatus to remove sticks, weeds and other debris from a batch of peanuts and sort the peanuts into size categories. At least two longitudinally spaced apart sets of endless belts wrap over separate sets of drive rollers. The belts are interposed to position a belt from one set adjacent a belt from another set. The sets of belts travel at different speeds to move peanuts and debris into the longitudinal gaps between the belts. Debris, such as sticks and peanuts transverse to the belts are induced by the relative movement of the belts to align longitudianally into the gap between adjacent belts. Peanuts and debris smaller than the gap fall through into a hopper and larger peanuts and debris fall into a separate hopper. Larger debris falls off the end of the apparatus where the endless belts turn over a drive roller from a horizontal direction to a downward direction.
