    • A method of controlling separation of solid particles from a fluid is described, wherein the separation is carried out by means of a sieve apparatus (10) which includes an endless sieve cloth (1) structured in a manner allowing it to rotate around at least two spaced-apart turning rollers (14), wherein the method comprises: arranging at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) in series in the direction of movement of the sieve cloth (1), wherein at least two of the at least two sieve cloth sheets (1′) have dissimilar filtering characteristics; controlling the endless sieve cloth (1) by rotating the turning rollers (14) in such a manner that a desirable amount of solid particles and fluid is supplied to at least one of, or is distributed between two or more of, the at least two sieve cloth sheets having desirable filtering characteristics. A sieve cloth for use in the method is also described.

    • This invention relates to a sieve cloth and a method of connecting the sieve cloth to a sieve apparatus of a type having an endless sieve cloth supported by a support belt which, in operation, is structured in a manner allowing it to rotate around at least two spaced-apart turning rollers. The method includes the steps of providing at least one sieve cloth sheet having an upper side, a lower side, two side portions and a first end portion and a second end portion extending between the side portions; bringing at least a portion of the sieve cloth sheet into engagement with a portion of the support belt; positioning the sieve cloth sheet against the support belt by moving the support belt around the turning rollers; bringing at least two adjoining end portions into engagement with each other until the at least one sieve cloth sheet forms an endless sieve cloth. A method of controlling the separation of solid particles from a fluid is also described.

    • The present invention describes an apparatus (1) and a method for use in regulation of the energy potential in a fluid column located within a pipeline (13), the apparatus (1) including two impellers (2), either one including a rotatable shaft (6) which is provided with a plurality of vanes or plate-shaped blades (8), the impellers (2) being disposed in a housing (4) which constitutes a portion of the pipeline (13), the apparatus (1) communicating with a load (19, 21) and/or an energy source, so that the impellers (2) of the apparatus (1) are arranged to influence the movement of the fluid column within the pipeline (13), the apparatus (1) being arranged to receive the fluid column between the shafts (6) of the impellers (2), the centre axis of said shafts (6) being substantially in the same plane as wall portions of the housing (4) upstream and downstream of the vanes, whereby the rate of the fluid column through the apparatus substantially corresponds to the rate of the fluid column immediately upstream and/or downstream of the impellers (2) of the apparatus (1).
