    • Output signals, representing data read out from a memory cell array comprising a plurality of memory cells arranged in a matrix of m rows and n columns, each cell comprising an EPROM transistor, are fed to a sense amplifier. A row of the memory cell array is selected by signals SRl-SRm coming from a row decoder. The output of the selected row is taken out by a column select transistor selected by signals SCl-SCn from a column decoder before being fed to the sense amplifier. The sense amplifier comprises a memory cell output detecting circuit having a first load transistor for receiving output read out from the memory cell array and a dummy cell output detecting circuit having a second load transistor to which dummy cell equivalent to the memory cell is connected. The circuit of the first load transistor and that of the second load transistor form a current mirror circuit. The sense amplifier also comprises a sense amplifier output evaluation circuit having differential amplifiers which transmit output voltages of the memory cell output detecting circuit and of the dummy cell output detecting circuit to reflect the respective currents running through the first and second load transistors.

    • A signal transmitting device for transmitting signals from operating switches which are provided on a steering wheel of an automobile to an electric load provided on a body thereof, is disclosed. The device comprises one annular electrode which is provided on a lower end surface of a steering wheel boss rotating with the steering wheel and another annular electrode which is provided on an upper end surface of a steering column cover fixed to the body so as to be opposed to the one annular electrode. These annular electrodes form a capacitor. The device further comprises a signal generating circuit composed of a plurality of resistors having different resistance values which are selectively connected to the one electrode provided on the steering wheel by use of the above described switches, an RC oscillator circuit composed of the above described capacitor which is connected to another annular electrode on the steering column cover and a signal receiving circuit which detects the change in output frequency of the oscillator circuit. The signal generating circuit is provided on the steering wheel while the oscillator circuit and the signal receiving circuit are provided on the body. By operating the switches, the resistor to be connected to the electrode provided on the steering wheel is changed so that the impedance of the line including the capacitor is changed. As a result, the output frequency of the oscillator circuit is changed by steps.

    • A picture combining apparatus for concurrently using a single shooting television camera to pick up still pictures such as titles. In the picture combining apparatus, the level of a luminance signal in a still picture signal generated from the television camera is compared with a threshold level to generate a binary signal corresponding to the difference therebetween and the binary signal is stored in a memory. At a given time during the shooting of a background the content of the memory is read so that the binary signal is provided with a particular color or luminance level and is superimposed on a background picture signal from the camera. Thus, the camera generates an output signal corresponding to a picture comprising the still picture superimposed on the background.
