    • A scanning module disposed on one side of a transparent platen of a scanner for scanning a document disposed on the reverse side of the transparent platen is provided. The scanning module comprises a base, a lamp, a holder and an optical sensing component. The lamp for illuminating the document comprises a first section and a second section. The first section extends substantially parallel to a plane of the transparent platen. A first end of the second section is connected to one end of the first section. The shortest distance between a second end of the second section and the transparent platen is greater than that between the first section and the transparent platen. The holder is disposed on the second section for fixing the lamp to the base. The optical sensing component is used for receiving the light reflected by the document and converting that into an image signal.

    • The present invention provides an image-acquiring device for scanning a to-be-scanned document which includes first page data and second page data. The device includes a first scan module, a second scan module, a first transmission interface and a second transmission interface. The first scan module scans the first page data and outputs a corresponding first digital signal. The second scan module scans the second page data and outputs a corresponding second digital signal. The first transmission interface receives the first digital signal from the first scan module and outputs the first digital signal to a computer host.     • A sheet-fed scanning device capable of detecting a document edge includes a scanning module and an automatic document feeder. The scanning module scans a document with a light ray. The automatic document feeder feeds the document across a scanning region on a sheet passageway for the scanning module to scan. In this invention, a section of a guide plate of the sheet passageway located within the scanning region is formed with a concave portion, wherein the document moving across the scanning region is located between the concave portion and the scanning module, such that the intensity of a first brightness of the concave portion sensed by the scanning module is far smaller than the intensity of a second brightness of the document sensed by the scanning module. Thus, it is possible to facilitate the document edge detection and the document skew correction.

The paper feed scanner includes a scanning module for scanning a document at a scanning position, a motor for driving the document, and a memory for storing image data. The method includes turning the motor to feed the document toward a scanning position; the scanning module starting scanning before the document reaches the scanning position; and detecting an edge of the document according to an image generated by the scanning module, and starting or stopping storing image data generated by the scanning module into the memory when detecting the edge of the document.

The first CCD shift register includes a plurality of first CCD components and a plurality of second CCD components. The first photo sensor set includes multiple first photo sensors for receiving a first light signal and generating multiple first corresponding charge signals. The first charge signals can be received by the first CCD components. On the other hand, the second photo sensor set includes multiple second photo sensors for receiving a second light signal and generating multiple second corresponding charge signals. The second charge signals can be received by the second CCD components. The CCD sensing apparatus can acquire higher scanned image quality under high resolution.

    • A scanning device includes a first chassis, a second chassis and a calibration mechanism. The first chassis is for scanning one side of a document. The second chassis is for scanning the other side of the document. The second chassis is movably disposed opposite the first chassis. The calibration mechanism is for calibrating the color depth of the scan image. The calibration mechanism includes a calibration sheet and an elastic member. One end of the elastic member is fixed in the scanning device. The second chassis exerts a force on the calibration sheet to generate a relative movement between the calibration sheet and the first chassis. When the second chassis ceases exerting the force, the elastic member releases a resilient force for moving the calibration sheet to a starting position. The first chassis performs dynamic calibration by the relative movement between the first chassis and the calibration sheet.
