    • Ramp comparator pulse generators having temperature and voltage compensation are adapted for use in integrated circuit devices such as memory devices. Such pulse generators include a ramp signal generator, a threshold signal generator, and a comparator providing an output signal in response to a difference between the potential level of the threshold signal and the potential level of the ramp signal. The pulse generators described herein utilize an adaptive threshold signal generator configured as a voltage divider and having resistive components having differing effective temperature coefficients of resistivity. The adaptive threshold signal generator has an upper resistive component and a lower resistive component coupled in series between a high potential node and a low potential node. The lower resistive component has an effective temperature coefficient of resistivity that is less than an effective temperature coefficient of resistivity of the upper resistive component.

    • An oscillator circuit having a charge storage device, an upward integration current source, and a downward integration current source is described. The charge storage device is also connected to a comparator in order to drive the current sources as a function of a lower comparator threshold and an upper comparator threshold. In consequence, a triangular waveform voltage is formed across the charge storage device, on the basis of the relaxation principle. The difference voltage from the two comparator thresholds is dropped across a first resistor. Since the comparator itself as well as the lower and upper current thresholds are formed in a common current path, this oscillator circuit has a particularly low current draw.

    • A pulse width modulated switch comprises a first terminal, a second terminal, and a switch that allows a signal to be transmitted between the first terminal and the second terminal according to a drive signal provided at a control input. The pulse width modulated switch also comprises a frequency variation circuit that provides a frequency variation signal and an oscillator that provides an oscillation signal having a frequency of that varies within a frequency range according to the frequency variation signal. The oscillator further provides a maximum duty cycle signal comprising a first state and a second state. The pulse width modulated switch further comprises a drive circuit that provides the drive signal when the maximum duty cycle signal is in the first state and a magnitude of the oscillation signal is below a variable threshold level.

    • An oscillation device includes a buffer device, a feedback device for feeding back an output of the buffer device to an input thereof and a charging device and a discharging device connected to the input of the buffer device. The charging device includes a first switching device that is turned on and off based on the output of the buffer device and a first current control device that controls the current flowing into the input of the buffer device through the first switching device. The discharging device includes a second switching device that is turned on or off based on the output of the buffer device and a second current control device that controls the current flowing out of the input of the buffer device through the second switching device. The first and second switching devices include first and second transistors and the first and second current sources that include third and fourth transistors. The oscillation device includes a bias circuit that controls at least the current ratio of the first and second current of the first and second current sources by controlling bias voltages applied to first and second bias terminals of the oscillation device.
