摘要： One aspect of the present invention relates to methods of sealing a wound or tissue plane or filling a void space, or securing meshes, films or other devices within the body. In certain embodiments, the wound is an ophthalmic, pleural or dural wound, or a hernia repair mesh. Remarkably, disclosed herein is the discovery that the use of certain crosslinkers in combination with polyalkyleneimines at specific concentrations can result in hydrogels with tunable degradation properties.

Conjugates prepared with the polymers and biologically active molecules such as proteins and peptides demonstrate extended circulating life in vivo. Substantially fewer sites on the biologically active material are used as attachment sites. 摘要： Defoamers are the products of the reaction of epichlorohydrin and compounds having the formula IIR.sub.3 (EO).sub.n (PO).sub.m OH (II)wherein R.sub.3 is an alkyl, alkenyl or arenyl group having from 4 to 22 carbon atoms; a substituted alkyl or alkenyl group having from 4 to 22 carbon atoms wherein; n is a number from 0 to 50 and m is a number from 0 to 10; wherein the mole ratio of epichlorohydrin to (II) is from about 0.60/1 to about 2/1 are extremely efficient defoamers for aqueous surfactant systems. The defoamers are added to a surfactant in an amount sufficient to reduce or eliminate foam and have the advantage of being totally dispersible in water, are readily biodegradable, contain no organic solvents and do not affect the detergency of surfactants with which they are used because they are nonionic surfactants in themselves.

摘要： A polyamine-containing poly(oxyalkylene) aromatic ester having the formula: ##STR1## or a fuel-soluble salt thereof; where R.sub.1 is a polyamine moiety having about 2 to about 12 amine nitrogen atoms and about 2 to about 40 carbon atoms, wherein the polyamine moiety is connected to the aromatic ring through one of its amine nitrogen atoms, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently hydrogen or lower alkyl and each R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is independently selected in each --O--CHR.sub.2 --CHR.sub.3 -unit; R.sub.4 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to about 100 carbon atoms, phenyl, aralkyl having about 7 to about 100 carbon atoms or alkaryl having about 7 to about 100 carbon atoms, or an acyl group of the formula: ##STR2## where R.sub.5 is alkyl having 1 to about 30 carbon atoms, phenyl, aralkyl having about 7 to about 36 carbon atoms or alkaryl having about 7 to about 36 carbon atoms; and y is an integer from about 5 to about 100. The polyamine-containing poly(oxyalkylene) aromatic esters of the present invention are useful as fuel additives for the prevention and control of engine deposits.
