The structural wall engaging member is substantially perpendicular to the foundation engaging member, and at least a portion of the structural wall engaging member is configured to abut a structural wall of a building structure. The gutter defines a water collection area configured to collect water flowing along at least a portion of the structural wall engaging member in the direction of the foundation engaging member, and the water drainage channel defines a conduit in fluid communication with the water collection area extending along a portion of the foundation engaging member, and the water drainage channel is configured to drain water collected in the gutter.

摘要： Disclosed herein are panelized wall systems and methods for their construction, wherein the wall systems have elastomeric joints that are resistant to cracking. The walls are constructed with trough-edge building panels. The trough-edge building panels are preferably fiber cement. The front surface of each panel has a trough adjacent to an edge of the panel. Panels are fastened to a frame with the trough-edges adjacent to each other. A joint tape is applied to the seam between the panels such that the edges of the joint tape fall within the troughs of the adjacent panels. The wall is then finished with an elastomeric finish.

The fiber cement article can be profiled to resemble a roofing article such as a wood shake or slate. The fiber cement article incorporates a hydrophobe and a viscosity enhancing agent that are each selected to control the rate of hydration of the binder. The fiber cement article is durable, is walkable and nailable without cracking during installation and maintains walkablilty after exposure in service.

摘要： A ridge vent for tile roofing includes a vent member attached to a longitudinally extending ridge member and extending over at least a portion of a longitudinally extending vent opening. The vent member includes a number of passageways that connect the vent opening to the ambient atmosphere. A layer of air-permeable and moisture-resistant material covers the vent member so that air from the vented space passes through the material layer. Moisture from outside the structure coming into contact with the material layer is repelled. In one embodiment, the material layer provides a form for a sealing layer of mortar or mastic between the tile and the vent member preventing mortar from flowing into the vent opening. In another embodiment, flexible flashing material is used to provide a sealing structure between the tile and the vent member.

This material is a deformable filter foam, which is impregnated with a substance which is cured when exposed to air. Before the connection is formed, the filter foam with the substance impregnating it, is sealed airtight. When the connection is to be formed, the airtight seal is removed and the substance introduced between the objects to be connected. Due to the exposure to air, which is now possible, the substance becomes cured. This lends the previously soft filter foam a solid structure.
