摘要： A conveying system for injecting material at a convey line pressure is disclosed. Material is injected into the convey line through a feed device from a pressurized vessel pressurized at the convey line pressure. In illustrated embodiments, the vessel is pressurized at the convey line pressure through connection to the convey line. As described, the vessel is connected to the convey line through a pressurization line to pressurize the vessel at the convey line pressure. In illustrated embodiments described the pressurization line is opened and closed via a valve to control pressurization of the vessel at the convey line pressure. In illustrated embodiments, convey line pressure is applied to multiple vessels of a conveying system through one or more pressurization lines to inject material into the convey line.

摘要： A method and system for cost effectively converting a feedstock using thermal plasma, or other styles of gassifiers, into a feedwater energy transfer system. The feedstock can be any organic material, or fossil fuel. The energy transferred in the feedwater is converted into steam which is then injected into the low turbine of a combined cycle power plant. Heat is extracted from gas product issued by a gassifier and delivered to a power plant via its feedwater system. The gassifier is a plasma gassifier and the gas product is syngas. In a further embodiment, prior to performing the step of extracting heat energy, there is provided the further step of combusting the syngas in an afterburner. An air flow, and/or EGR flow is provided to the afterburner at a rate that is varied in response to an operating characteristic of the afterburner. The air flow to the afterburner is heated.

摘要： A desulfurization system removes sulfur ingredients included in synthetic gas generated from gasification of coal in a high temperature dry state. The system includes a desulfurization reactor, a desulfurization cyclone, and first and second regeneration reactors branched with the desulfurization cyclone. A first oxidizing agent is injected to a first oxidizing agent inlet of the first regeneration reactor, and a second oxidizing agent is injected to a second oxidizing agent inlet of the second regeneration reactor. A controller operates one of the first and second regeneration reactors in a regeneration mode, controlling the other to operate in a desulfurization mode.

摘要： A flue gas is cleaned by feeding same to a filtering separator. The filtering separator is accommodated in a housing, and the housing has a pre-filter side ahead of the filtering separator and a clean side following the filtering separator in the flue gas flow direction. A filter element has an adsorbent formed of dust-free spheroidal charcoal on the clean side of the housing. The flue gas flows through the adsorbent in the filter element. Harmful substances from the group including mercury and/or dioxin and/or furan and/or further heavy metals are thereby removed from the flue gas.

In various embodiments, the present invention provides an activated carbon sorbent including a halogen- or halide-promoted activated carbon, the activated carbon sorbent particles including nitrogen in a surface layer of the sorbent particles. In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method of reducing the pollutant content in a pollutant-containing gas using the activated carbon sorbent. In various embodiments, the activated carbon sorbent can remove mercury from a mercury-containing gas that includes sulfur(VI) such as SO3 more efficiently than other sorbents.

摘要： A method for more efficiently removing pollutant gases from flue gases of a solid-fueled steam generator includes storing a silo a carbonaceous sorbent in a powdered form; extracting a superheated steam from a superheated steam source; and reducing a temperature, pressure and moisture content of the superheated steam to provide a processed steam of a desired pressure, temperature and moisture content. The method further includes providing a sorbent mill receiving the carbonaceous sorbent and the processed steam, wherein the sorbent mill is operable to de-agglomerate and comminute the carbonaceous sorbent using the processed steam to provide a processed sorbent. Further the method includes injecting the processed sorbent into the flue gases at a desired location in the solid-fueled steam generator thereby adsorbing the pollutants therefrom; and collecting and thereby remove the carbonaceous sorbent from the flue gas fluidly downstream from the desired location.
