摘要： Polyurethane gel foams are proposed as is their use in modern wound treatment. In particular, wound dressings comprise polyurethane gel foams for treating moderately to severely exuding wounds. The polyurethane gel foams are thereby produced from an isocyanate component A having a functionality f of fB≦3, a polymeric polyol component B having a functionality f of fB≦6, and a polysaccharide C, comprising at least one uronic acid or a salt thereof, wherein the ratio of the number of isocyanates groups of the isocyananate component A to the total number of hydroxyl groups, carboxy groups and carboxylate groups in the polymeric polyol component B and the polysaccharide C corresponds to the ratio 1:2 to 1:30.

Yet another aspect of the invention relates to a method for reducing lung volume in a patient comprising the step of administering a hydrogel composition as described herein. Further, hydrogels of the invention may be used to achieve pleurodesis, seal brochopleural fistulas, seal an air leak in a lung, achieve hemostasis, tissue sealing (e.g., blood vessels, internal organs), or any combination thereof. In certain embodiments, the compositions and methods described herein are intended for use in the treatment of patients with emphysema.

摘要： To provide a foam-molded product which is light-weight and superior in formability, flexibility and shock absorbing capacity, and which exhibits favorable tactile impression and excellent safety, as well as a shock absorber using the same that provides favorable feel in wearing.Means for Resolution: When a foam-molded product is used which is produced by including foamed resin particles in a soft resin obtained from a silicone based polymer, as a base resin, produced by curing a liquid resin composition including: (A) a curing agent having at least two hydrosilyl groups in the molecular chain; (B) a polymer which has at least one alkenyl group in the molecular chain, comprises a saturated hydrocarbon unit or an oxyalkylene unit as a repeating unit that constitutes the main chain, and is a linear polymer having a number average molecular weight of no lower than 10,000; and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst, the product can be suitably used in garments to which it is attached as a shock absorber at an appropriate site such as the front body, the flank part, the back body and the hip around the lumbar.

The surfaces may also be one or more of those associated with a infusion of a medicament or dialysis treatment, such as peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis, where it is important that the working surface for the dialysis fluid be sterile. These surfaces include connectors for peritoneal dialysis sets or for hemodialysis sets, bag spikes, dialysis catheters, and so forth. A method for determining whether a surface has been sterilized, and a dye useful in so indicating, is also disclosed.
