    • A resealable single-piece push-pull dispensing closure is disclosed that includes a circumferential skirt, a top member circumferentially coupled to the skirt, and a sipper spout. The sipper spout extends upwardly from the top member and has a curved sipper surface that truncates to from a substantially flat landing surface. Plural apertures are disposed in the landing surface, and apertures may be disposed at a periphery of the sipper surface. The curvature of the sipper surface has a constant cross section curvature throughout the width of the sipper surface. A user's lip may rest on the sipper surface while drinking directly therefrom, or the top member may have a concave portion in which a user's lip may rest during drinking.

    • A closable dispenser and an apparatus for dispensing a flowable product therewith are provided. The apparatus for dispensing includes a collapsible product container. The closable dispenser includes an outlet member having a base and a 3-D tip having a 3-D opening therein. The dispenser also includes a spout member having a hollow main body fixed to the container, a stopper extending from the main body and having a 3-D shape complementary to the 3-D opening of the tip, and a passage between the main body and the stopper. A mounting mechanism movably mounts the base of the outlet member about the main body of the spout member for a relative movement of the outlet member and spout member between (a) an open position allowing flow of the product where the stopper is spaced interiorly from the 3-D opening and dispensing of the product through the passage to the 3-D opening is permitted and (b) a closed position preventing flow of the product where the stopper is complementarily engaged with the 3-D opening of the tip so that most residual product is expelled from said tip and a 3-D surface which is easily cleaned of remaining residual product is provided. Preferably, the 3-D tip of the outlet member has an outer convex shape and an inner concave shape, and the 3-D shape of the stopper is convex. In addition, the 3-D opening of the tip is a plurality of slots radiating away from a central aperture at an apex of the tip.

    • A resealable push-pull pour spout closure having an annular secondary closure with a central opening through which a plug is adapted to engage to close a container. The central opening is defined by an annular wall having at least one internally extending annular flange. The diameter of the central opening is substantially the same as that of the plug. The plug takes the form of a circular closure disk having an integrally molded depending annular skirt projecting from the periphery of the disk that attaches to angularly extending legs that connect the plug to the spout thereby defining a hollow cavity for the plug interior and increasing the structural flexibility of the plug. The annular seal flange projects radially into opening for form fitting engagement with the plug to substantially eliminate any leakage when the plug is positioned in the central opening.

    • A plastic container closure has a skirt which is connected to a tamper-evidencing band by frangible bridges, all molded in a single unit. Where the closure is a cap for a container neck, there is at least one retaining means on the skirt and another on the band. The neck has two retaining means which cooperate with those on the cap to prevent upward movement of the cap without fracture of the bridges. To reduce the likelihood of unintentional fracture of the bridges, particularly during installation of the cap on the neck, plural ejection bumpers of extended arcuate lengths are located on the top edge of the band and or from the bottom edge of the skirt and the bridges are located between the bumpers. This snap lock ring functions to replace the conventional retaining means located centrally of the band. The invention is applicable to tamper-evidencing bands of closures and of push/pull closures of sports-type cap spouts.

    • A dispensing container including a receptacle portion for holding liquids and an upper opening having a closure device. The closure device is embodied in threaded cap which closes a relatively large opening in the top of the receptacle portion for filling purposes. The closure device includes a spout connected to the threaded cap for sliding movement between open and closed positions. The spout includes a plug member having a resilient static sealing element. A resilient dynamic sealing element is disposed on an outer surface of the tubular closure element and the dynamic sealing element is in continuous contact with an inner surface of the spout during sliding movement thereof. The tubular closure element further includes an upper sealing surface adapted to engage the static sealing element and apply axial compression thereto when the spout is in a closed position. A flip-top protective cover is connected to the threaded cap and, in a closed position, the protective cover maintains the static sealing element in axial compression against the sealing surface.
