    • An apparatus for the compaction of foundry mold making material using gas under pressure, comprises a pressure vessel for the such gas, a mold flask, a filling frame, a pattern plate and a pattern thereon onto which the material is to be loosely heaped. The flask, frame and plate form a mold chamber under the pressure vessel and between them there a valve is placed, the valve having a movable valve member adapted to open up a flow cross section of the valve predominantly under the effect of gas under pressure in the pressure vessel. The valve member is guided within the pressure vessel, with the valve member being adapted to perform an opening motion, which at least mainly directed into the mold chamber.

    • In an apparatus for compressing foundry moulding material by pressure gas comprising a pressure vessel for the pressure gas forming an inlet pressure chamber, a moulding chamber positioned below it formed from moulding boxes with sand frames and a pattern plate with pattern on which the moulding material is loosely heaped up prior to compression and a large-area valve arranged between the pressure vessel and the moulding chamber, its closure member frees the valve opening in a few milliseconds, accompanied by the joint action of the pressure in the pressure vessel and thereby moves into the moulding chamber. The closure member is brought into the closed position by a pressure cylinder, whose piston is connected on the stroke side to a high pressure source and with its opposite side forms the movable termination of a gas-pressurized pressure reservoir, the high pressure side outflow being constructed in such a way that the pressure medium flows out at a speed of more than 10 m/s, accompanied by the simultaneous acceleration of the piston under the pressure in the pressure reservoir and the closure member into the open position.

    • A device for sealing the fuselage gap in a variable geometry aircraft. The fuselage gap is designed to receive part of the movable wing on the aircraft. The seal is in contact with the upper and lower wing surfaces near the inboard trailing edge section so that the fuselage gap is effectively sealed during flight. The seal is constructed of an air bellows with a triangular-shaped cross section and a plurality of partition walls therein, each partition wall being filled with air passageways in order to allow equilization of air pressure within the bellows. The partition walls are connected to one of the outer sheath walls of the bellows through a hinge-like connection. The hinge consists of numerous loops with a hinge pin protruding through the loops to interlock the concerned outer wall of the bellows with the partition walls. In another embodiment, a one-piece, elastic wire is threaded through the loops of all partition walls consecutively. The partition walls may be connected to the outer bellows sheath also through a force-locking device.

Other portions of the home page may be customized by the department, the information technology organization, or other user with the appropriate permission. The configuration of the home page is associated with the individual user through a log-on procedure.
