摘要： In an optical recording and reproducing method and an apparatus employed for effecting the method, in a light beam of a wavelength .lambda.1 is converted by a laser unit into a light beam having a wavelength .lambda.2 which shorter than the wavelength .lambda.1 through employment of a wavelength converting element, and the light beams with wavelengths .lambda.1 and .lambda.2 are converged at approximately the same spots on a recording medium. For recording a signal, a light intensity of the light beam of the wavelength .lambda.1 projected onto the recording medium is arranged to be a light intensity for not effecting recording of the signal independently, and recording of the signal is effected through modulation of at least the light beam of the wavelength .lambda.2 to be high or low intensity according to the signal to be recorded. For recording or reproducing signals, focus control and tracking control are effected by detecting only the light beam of the wavelength .lambda.2 reflected from the recording medium.

摘要： In a device for reproducing the information, especially the video signal optically, magnetically or otherwise recorded on the spiral or concentric track on a disk-shaped recording medium, a control system for controlling the radially inward or outward shift or jump of a reproduction transducer from one track to another for effecting, in addition to the normal reproduction, the special effect reproductions such as still picture, slow, fast and reverse motions. The control system comprising a shifting means for shifting or jumping the transducer in the radial directions substantially perpendicular to the tracks, a control means for maintaining the transducer to scan the desired track, and a detecting means for detecting whether or not the transducer has been shifted or jumped and brought to the desired track and generating the output signal in response to which the shifting means is disabled to decelerate and stop the shifting or jumping of the transducer.

摘要： An optical disk is provided for recording data of a signal modulated according to a predetermined modulation method in a form of concavo-convex pits. The optical disk includes a first area having a reflecting film partly removed, and a second area for recording pits which are different from pits satisfying requirements of the predetermined modulation method. The first area having the reflecting film partly removed includes a portion which is formed by removing the reflecting film, and has a length longer than a maximum pit length determined by the modulation method in a circumferential direction of the optical disk. When the pits recorded on the optical disk are physically copied as they are, physical copying of the optical disk can be prevented by utilizing such a difference that the authorized optical disk differs from a pirated copy in a combination of the respective reproduced signals of the first and second areas.
