摘要： According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a catalyst which includes metal clusters containing a non-platinum element as the catalyst active ingredient, these metal clusters having species of a metal having different valences, and exhibits an improved electrode performance per unit price of the used metal, compared to catalysts using platinum. When this catalyst is applied to an electrode catalyst for fuel cell, a low-cost fuel cell system can be realized without using expensive platinum as the active ingredient. This catalyst can be applied to DMFC and PEFC fuel cells.

The package has a structure in which an anode and a cathode are arranged on one surface of a semiconductor chip, each electrode having a bump electrode for connecting the electrode to an external substrate. An insulating resin is provided on the surface of the semiconductor chip and on the surfaces of the bump electrodes, except at least for the connection portions to the external substrate.

Further, the present invention provides a production method of an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell, wherein a mold comprising convex portions having a fixed planar pattern is pressed on one side or both sides of a polymer electrolyte membrane, then while concave portions of the polymer electrolyte membrane formed in the concave portions are being stretched, the mold is removed from the polymer electrolyte membrane for forming a minute projection cluster.

摘要： A carbon nanotube which exhibits ferromagnetism without a ferromagnetic metal imparted thereto and also has high thermal stability is provided. The carbon nanotube is characterized by being doped with nitrogen (which differs from carbon in valence electron) such that the doped nitrogen is segregated in a strip form at one end of the carbon nanotube. The thus doped nitrogen causes the carbon nanotube to have a difference in electron density and to exhibit ferromagnetism. The present invention makes it possible to provide a carbon nanotube exhibiting ferromagnetism without the necessity of imparting any magnetic metal thereto.
