摘要： A system for removing extraneous, random free-flowing dyes from laundry washing applications which comprises a novel unitary dosing laundry article that can freely circulate among items being laundered. The laundry article further comprises a dye absorber and a dye transfer inhibitor which are introduced into a wash liquor via a support matrix. The dye absorber maintains a relational association with the support matrix in the wash liquor, whereas the dye transfer inhibitor is delivered up from the support matrix to the wash liquor and may be evenly distributed throughout the wash liquor. The laundry article of the present invention provides a method for preventing the redeposition of extraneous dyes onto other wash items, while simultaneously providing an indicator system for the manifestation of such scavenging process.

Following use of a first treatment composition, protective benefits are maintained and refreshed by means of a second treatment operation employing a second treatment composition. The second treatment composition may have lower active levels of the protective agents to provide for economical and periodic maintenance of the imparted fabric protection benefits and/or refresh the microbiocidal or microbiostatic properties imparted to fabrics and/or washing machine surfaces.

The treatment article functions to dispense at least one powdered benefit agent to the fabric by means of a diffusing membrane having an average pore diameter such that the tumbling and/or heating action provided during the tumble drying process results in the delivery of an oxidant material in the form of a powdered benefit agent to the initially damp or wet fabric to provide at least one primary fabric benefit to the treated fabric. Optionally, a second and/or third benefit agent may additionally be included in the treatment article for simultaneous delivery of one or more additional fabric benefits. The invention also relates to a treatment kit employing a treatment article with instructions for the effective delivery of one or more fabric benefits to a fabric during a tumble drying process.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for measuring the percentage natural of a cleaning composition using radiocarbon dating data. The percentage natural of a cleaning composition is defined as the amount of material that comes from non-petroleum based or derived products. By using radiocarbon data for the entire composition or its individual components one can determine the percentage of materials which are from non-petroleum based or derived products, and calculate the percent Renewable Carbon Index (RCI). The percent RCI can be used to calculate the percent natural of the cleaning composition as defined by the methods of the present invention.
