摘要： A bi-regional fiber with a cellulosic core and a wax outer sheath is disclosed. The sheath can comprise high melting temperature wax. The fiber may be produced by processing the natural fiber at temperatures less than 70° C. The fiber can be processed in a standard manner, e.g., Keir process which may include bleach at approximately 100° C.. and the wax subsequently added at a temperature sufficient to disperse the wax over the fibers. The fibers are ignition resistant as measured by industry standard tests, e.g., FAR 25.853(b) or 14 CFR 25.853(b). The wax may comprise less than 1 percent to 25 percent of the fiber by weight. The wax may be natural wax, synthetic or emulsified wax or blends thereof. The bi-regional fibers can be blended with other fibers including BRCF fibers subject of U.S. Pat. No. 5,700,573.

摘要： The present invention provides an oxidation catalyst for bleaching containing a component (a) which is an anion caused from a chelating agent having less than or equal to coordination position 5 and/or the chelating agent, and a component (b) which is a copper and/or manganese compound; and a binder compound (c); a hydrogen peroxide-based compound (d) which dissolves in water and generates hydrogen peroxide, the bleaching composition containing a granulated product or a molded product in which at least the component (b) and the component (c) are granulated or molded together. According to the invention, an oxidation catalyst that promotes the oxidation effect of hydrogen peroxide-based compounds with a trace amount of the composition, and has excellent effects of suppressing the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide-based compounds and suppressing coloration of the catalyst itself, and a bleaching composition containing the oxidation catalyst can be utilized.

摘要： This invention relates to a novel non-aqueous liquid oxygen bleach composition prepared by dispersing solid peroxygen compound in the liquid in which the content of an anhydrous non-polar organic solvent and a non-ionic and anionic surfactant is controlled. The composition is formed in a high viscous paste or a gel-type suspension and can be used as a multi-purpose composition, for example, the bleach and stain remover of clothes and the cleanser of bathroom and kitchen since they have a chemical/physical stability of no loss of available oxygen, an excellent bleaching and cleaning ability due to their alkaline pH range, no change of viscosity or no phase separation during the storage and so on.

摘要： Disclosed are methods and compositions of lightening the color of hair that has been recently contacted with a relaxing or straightening composition, the method comprising combining a bleach composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent selected from the group consisting of persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, their salts and mixtures thereof, and at least one rheology-modifying agent, with a developer composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and a cosmetically acceptable carrier in order to form a lightening composition, wherein the pH of the lightening composition is from about 2 to about 7; applying the lightening composition onto the hair; leaving the lightening composition on the hair for a time period sufficient to achieve an increase of 1 to 4 in the tone height of the hair; and rinsing the hair with water.

More specifically, a Thermotoga maritima acetyl xylan esterase gene was modified using error-prone PCR and site-directed mutagenesis to create an enzyme catalyst characterized by an increase in specific activity. The variant acetyl xylan esterase may be used to produce peroxycarboxylic acids suitable for use in a variety of applications such as cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, bleaching, wood pulp processing, and paper pulp processing applications.
