摘要： A cut-to-length steel coil processing line has an un-coiling reel, a temper mill, a stretcher leveler, a shearer, and a stacking apparatus arranged to sequentially process a continuous length of sheet metal. The line may be configured such that the continuous length of the sheet metal is directed from the uncoiling reel through the temper mill to the stacking apparatus without processing through the stretcher leveler when a determined thickness of the continuous length of sheet metal is at or below a selected measurement criteria. In the alternative, the line may be configured such that the continuous length of the sheet metal is directed from the uncoiling reel through the stretcher leveler to the stacking apparatus without processing through the temper mill when the determined thickness of the continuous length of sheet metal is greater than the selected measurement criteria.

摘要： The aim of the invention is to provide a method for controlling the flow of material when deep-drawing a workpiece, which better utilizes the drawing capacity of a workpiece and produces a better shape accuracy, particularly of the bottom of the drawn part. The aim is achieved by a method in which the deep-drawing process is performed incrementally and in which at least one bead is incorporated into the flange region of the workpiece prior to each increment of the deep-drawing process. Due to this, the shape accuracy of the bottom can be improved and material accumulations in the flange zone can be prevented.

摘要： An apparatus for attaching edging to a sheet has two stationary guides at each end, an upper hollow guide (8), a pair of lower guides (5), with a fixed base (4) between the lower guides. A hollow profile (1) is vertically movable, having a binding rail (2) on the underside thereof. The upper guide (8) is placed inside the profile, forming upper and lower spaces (7, 9) between the profile and the upper guide. Upper and lower flexible elements (10, 11) are provided in each space. In use, one element is filled while the other element is emptied, such that when an edging and a sheet is placed between the fixed base (4) and the binding rail, the lower element is filled to force the profile and thus the binding rail down to attach the edging. Then the upper element is filled to release the sheet with the attached edging.

摘要： A method is disclosed for forming sheet metal articles, such as automotive body panels, having significant curvatures in front-to-back and side-to-side directions. Opposing, complementary, preforming and final shape forming tools are used in a single press. A sheet of superplastically or quick plastically formable sheet metal alloy, heated to a forming temperature, is first stretched against the preform tool by the final shape tool to form a preform that has experienced most of the metal stretching required for the final part shape. The preform is removed from the preform tool and formed against the opposing, final shape tool with pressurized gas to obtain the final sheet metal part shape.

摘要： The invention relates to a method of working a hot-rolled stainless steel strip, particularly an austenitic stainless strip, with the intention of reducing the thickness and enhancing the mechanical strength of the strip. The method is characterized by cold-rolling the hot-rolled strip with at least a 10% thickness reduction to a thickness which is at least 2% and at most 10% greater than the intended final thickness of the finished product; annealing the thus cold-rolled strip at a temperature of between 1,050.degree. C. and 1,250.degree. C.; and cold-stretching the strip after the annealing process so as to plasticize and permanently elongate the strip and therewith reducing its thickness by 2-10%.
