    • An apparatus for attaching edging (13) to a sheet (12) has two stationary guides (5, 8) at each end. An upper hollow guide (8) is mounted on top of a lower guide (5). A fixed base (4) is placed between the lower guides (5). A hollow profile (1) is vertically movable between the guides. A binding rail (2) is placed on the underside of the profile (1). The upper guide (8) is placed inside the profile. A space (9) is created between the upper interior of the profile and the upper exterior of the upper guide. Another space (7) is created between the lower interior of the profile and the lower exterior side of the upper guide. A flexible element (10,11) is placed in each space. The elements can in turn be filled or emptied with a gas or a liquid. The fixed base is preferably provided with magnets. In use the upper flexible element (10) is filled and the lower (11) is emptied. An edging and a sheet is placed between the fixed base (4) and the binding rail (2). The upper element (10) is emptied and the lower (11) is filled forcing the profile and thus the binding rail down in order to attach the edging. Hereafter the upper flexible element (10) is filled and the lower (11) is emptied to release the sheet with the attached edging. The sheets are preferably posters and pictures and the edging is preferably metallic or magnetic.

    • An apparatus for holding sheet-like material, comprising an elongated frame. The frame includes a rear wall, a front wall, and an adjoining wall. The front and rear walls each have a free end, a joined end, and an interior side. The front and rear walls are disposed in opposing spaced relation such that their interior sides faces each other. The adjoining wall connects the joined ends of the rear and front walls together. The interior side of the rear wall includes a pair of spaced-apart projections at the free end of the rear wall. The interior side of the front wall has a curved portion at the free end of the front wall. The curved portion is in tight mating contact with the pair of projections. The free ends define an entry through which the sheet-like material is to be inserted. The entry is normally closed, and is openable by urging apart the front and rear walls. The rear, the front and the adjoining walls, together, define an elongated hollow that is configured to accommodate a wire binding. The adjoining wall contains a first recess configured to carry a writing implement when holding the sheet-like material in a vertical orientation. The front wall contains a second recess configured to carry a writing implement when holding the sheet-like material in a horizontal orientation.

    • A holder for flexible sheet material providing a substantially horizontally oriented housing containing convergent parallel walls forming an interior passageway with an opening. Contained within the housings' passageway are several spaced cylindrical rods with removable handles attached and exposed through the opening of the housing. The relationship between the diameter of the rods and the opening between the convergent walls is such that the rods can not pass through the opening and exit the housing. Sheet material moved into the opening in an upward direction between the inside front of the housing and the rods is secured by pulling on the handles attached to the rods to activate the wedging action. The sheet material can be removed from the holder by moving the handles vertically within the passageway to allow the sheet material to slip freely out of the housing. The maneuverability of these wedging rods via the affixed handles permits it to be used to secure sheet materials of various thickness, weights and textures.

    • A mounting strip for clamping flexible sheet material or other objects includes an elongated U-shaped, rigid plastic channel having a forward leg forming a bearing surface and a rearward leg forming a mounting surface. An elongated flexible gripper tongue is formed along the mounting surface of the channel and includes a clamping surface adapted to engage the bearing surface of the forward leg of the channel for receiving and clamping an article such as sheet material therebetween. The rigid plastic channel and flexible plastic gripper tongue are preferably co-extruded in a single operation to form a one-piece mounting strip having cooperating clamping elements with different durometer hardnesses.

    • A holder having a wide usage for holding plastic, cloth or paper against a surface.
