摘要： Process for separating plutonium from uranium contained in a nitric acid aqueous solution from the reprocessing of irradiated fuels comprising plutonium, uranium and fission products by means of crown ethers. Nitric acid aqueous solution (5) containing plutonium, uranium and fission products is contacted at (2) with an organic liquid membrane (3) containing a crown ether. The uranium and plutonium are extracted in the liquid membrane (3) and then transferred by said membrane into a receiving solution (7), which becomes enriched with uranium, because the latter is transferred more rapidly than the plutonium. The crown ether can be DCH 18 C6 or DB 18 C6.

摘要： A level sensor system for liquids and liquid slurries utilizes a capacitive probe which extends longitudinally into a liquid or liquid slurry containing vessel, and which may contain inner and outer sensors spaced from each other in an assembly with a flow control screen at its lower end to permit egress of liquid and exclusion of the solid slurry material, thereby enabling both liquid and slurry level to be determined. The capacitance presented by each sensor is converted into a digital output in repetitive cycles having a reference phase, where a reference voltage is generated by charging a reference capacitor while a counter is registering counts and until a pre-determined count is reached, and in a computing phase while counts are accumulated until the capacitance presented by the probe charges to a voltage equal to the reference voltage. The counts registered in the counter may be converted into level units and displayed or the difference between the liquid and slurry levels may be used to control a fluid system, as in the de-watering of waste, ion exchange resins and other waste filter media and sludges used in decontamination, water treatment in nuclear power plants.

摘要： A process for treating a waste water containing uranium and fluorine comprises a neutralizing precipitation step wherein slaked lime is added to the waste water containing uranium and fluorine and precipitate thus formed in separated and removed, and an adsorption step wherein supernatant from the neutralizing precipitation step is contacted with a chelating resin which can selectively adsorb fluorine ions and another chelating resin which can selectively adsorb uranyl ions to thereby adsorb and remove the fluorine and uranyl ions remaining in the supernatant. Eluates of the ions adsorbed by the chelating resins and waste liquors for washing and regeneration of these resins are returned to the neutralizing precipitation step. Prior to the neutralizing precipitation step, a decarbonation step may be provided for decomposing carbonate ions, if they are contained in the waste water to be treated.

A premixer for the one binding agent component and for flowable waste materials is provided. The premixer is connected via throughput measuring devices to the silo and to a container for flowable wastes. The premixer is connected via a dosing conveyor device to one end of the continuous-flow mixer. Thereafter, the receiver tank is connected to the continuous-flow mixer. A discharge conveyor device which feeds the ultimate storage barrels is mounted at the other end of the continuous-flow mixer.
