    • The invention relates to a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor for thermal processing of added carbonaceous material, the carbonaceous material normally comprises organic material or organic material mixed with inorganic material such as in straw or other vegetable waste, manure, household rubbish, dried wastewater, dried animal remains or other dried carbonaceous waste products. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a combustible product gas having a heating value around 4-8 MJ/Nm3 from such a carbonaceous material by subjecting the carbonaceous material to pyrolysis in one process step and oxidation in two subsequent process steps. A circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor according to the invention comprises a primary char gasification chamber (5) and an intermediate char gasification chamber (9) typically provided with a fluidized bed wherein the height (h10) of the second fluidized bed (10) in the intermediate char gasification chamber is larger than the height (hn) of the first fluidized bed (11) in the primary char gasification chamber (5).

    • An olefin polymerization reaction unit includes a multistage gas phase polymerization reactor which is divided into two or more polymerization stages, in which polyolefin particles move from an initial stage to a final stage, and in which an olefin monomer-containing gas is fed from the final stage toward the initial stage. The reaction unit also includes first circulating means for feeding to the final stage a gas that is discharged from the initial stage and then cooled with a first heat exchanger, and second circulating means for feeding to one of the polymerization stages a condensate formed by condensing, with a second heat exchanger different from the first heat exchanger, a gas removed from one of the polymerization stages.

    • A system 100 is described for the treatment of multiphase residues having unlimited content of water, oil and solids to obtain hydrocarbons and other products, said system comprising multiphase residue feed system 10, inert gas system 20 and reduced pressure system 30, tubular reactor 40 provided with three heating zones Z-1, Z-2 and Z-3 with a temperature gradient and transportation helicoid 42 to displace the residue mass throughout the reaction zones, the hydrocarbon products and water being collected in a system 60 of condensers 61, 62 and 63 linked to a system 70 of bubbling vessels 71, 72 and 73, reactor 40 being operated in the sealed mode and being provided with a multiphase residue inlet 43 and exit 44 of solid product. The solid product is collected in a system 50 comprising upper valve 51 and lower valve 52, and intermediate silo 53 and then directed to post-treatment system 90 for activation aiming at industrial utilization. The process using the system 100 of the invention is also described. Multiphase organic residues, petroleum residues, pure or in admixture in any amount, from chemical and pharmaceutical industries, paper and pulp industry, and mining industries can be processed in the inventive system. Besides, it is possible to recover phenols from foundry sands in the system and process described.
