摘要： Highly filled, curable compositions containing a curable liquid, e.g. methyl methacrylate; 20 to 80% by weight of a finely divided inorganic filler of defined particle size, e.g. silica; a non-functionalized polymer containing a low Tg component which is soluble in the curable liquid, e.g. a non-functionalized vinyl aromatic/conjugated diene block copolymer; and other components which diperse the filler in the curable liquid and couple the filler to the matrix can be used to produce cured composites which show improved resistance to stress induced by thermal cycling.

摘要： Disclosed is an aqueous emulsion composition of a copolymeric resin having excellent storage stability and capable of forming a coating film of the resin on a substrate surface with excellent adhesion by virtue of introduction of a moiety of the monomeric units having an alkoxy-containing organosilyl group to serve as a silane coupling agent. The organosilyl group-containing moiety is introduced into the resin by the copolymerization of an organosilane compound represented by the general formula Vi--R.sup.1 --SiMe.sub.3-n (OR.sup.2).sub.n, in which Vi is a vinyl group, Me is a methyl group, R.sup.1 is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 4 to 12 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and n is 1, 2 or 3. As a consequence of isolation of the vinyl group from the silicon atom with intervention of the group R.sup.1, the organosilane compound has good copolymerizability with other ethylenically unsaturated organic monomers.

A process for producing the dynamically vulcanized composition is also provided including the addition of the fillers and/or specified additives after the dynamic vulcanization step. The compositions have improved stiffness to impact balance.
