摘要： Apparatus for retracting and extending sets of operational processing devices in a multi-device enclosure. In accordance with some embodiments, an enclosed housing is provided with opposing first and second ends. Sleds are individually movable between a retracted position within the enclosed housing and an extended position in which the sled projects from the first end. Each sled supports a group of processing devices. A control board is disposed within the enclosed housing adjacent the second end. A plurality of flex circuits contactingly engage the processing devices to provide communication paths between the processing devices and the control board in both the retracted and extended positions of the sleds.

The server chassis can include an enclosure having a top wall and a bottom wall, and a base plate positioned between the top and bottom walls of the enclosure. The base plate can include a plurality of storage drive receiving areas, a plurality of recesses, and a plurality of openings. Each recess can be positioned at a corresponding one of the storage drive receiving areas and be configured to be under a storage drive received at the storage drive receiving area. Each opening can be used to direct air flow from below the base plate into the recesses and thereby onto a bottom of the storage drives.

The user constructs trays using a second set of cardboard modules. The user affixes cable support components to the sides of sub-groups of the constructed trays. The user encloses sub-groups of trays having the affixed cable support components within the assembled MTGE casing units to create MTGE blocks. The user vertically stacks the MTGE blocks having the tray sub-groups and the affixed cable support components enclosed within. The user aligns and secures the vertically stacked MTGE blocks in a fixed position using banding and corner components.
