    • A vehicle operator condition monitoring system is provided. In one embodiment, the vehicle condition monitoring system includes a physical condition monitoring unit such as a camera, a data processing system, a navigation system, and a communication system. The physical condition monitoring unit is mounted in a vehicle to monitor at least one physical trait of a vehicle operator. The data processing system is coupled to the physical condition monitoring unit to compare data acquired by the physical condition monitoring unit with rules indicating types of action to be taken. The navigation system is functionally coupled to the data processing system allowing the data processing system to determine the location of the vehicle and the communications system is functionally coupled to the data processing system to allow the data processing system to contact an appropriate entity should the physical condition of the vehicle operator warrant such contact.

    • An anti-hijacker system for use in association with a transportation conveyance having an engine or motor system. The anti-hijacker system includes an RFID tag associated with an authorized user of the transportation conveyance and a receiver enabled to read a signal transmitted from the RFID tag. The system further includes a computer operatively connected to the receiver and the engine or motor system of the transportation conveyance so that in the absence of an expected signal from the RFID tag, the computer takes operational control of the engine or motor system. The computer may disable the engine or place the conveyance on autopilot. Related methods include concealing an RFID tag on the person of an authorized user of the transportation conveyance and disabling operation of the engine or motor system of the transportation conveyance when an expected signal from the RFID tag is not received in an expected manner.

    • Methods, systems, and media for remote control of a vehicle device and vehicle lockout notification are disclosed. Embodiments comprise a method of creating a secure bidirectional communication link between a remote access device and a central locking unit (CLU) of a vehicle, enabling the central locking unit to authenticate a user of the remote access device to manipulate a device of the vehicle. In some embodiments, the CLU may wait for an access attempt from a mobile device. In other embodiments, the CLU monitor vehicle conditions, detect a lockout condition, and alert the user before authenticating and granting vehicle access. Embodiments utilize private and shared key encryption methods to facilitate securely passing an access code between the CLU and the remote access device. Some embodiments authenticate the user by voice verification, while other embodiments may use personal identification numbers.
