摘要： A slider device having contoured top and sidewalls is disclosed for use with a resealable package. In a first embodiment, the slider device includes an engagement structure for engaging and interlocking first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The engagement structure includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion depending from the top wall of the slider device for engaging first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The first and second protrusions selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position. In a second embodiment, a slider device is disclosed having first and second slide channels that engage first and second closure profiles. The first and second slide channels selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position.

摘要： A reclosable package that seals an enclosed product and allows the product to be subjected to a retort procedure to cook the product while the product is in the package. The reclosable package is formed from a polypropylene film and includes a zipper closure including a pair of mating closure profiles both formed from a polypropylene material. One of the male or female closure profiles includes a sealing flange having a layer of sealant such that the sealing flange provides a seal for the package below the interaction between the closure profiles. This seal prevents the product from migrating through the profile member during the retort procedure and prior to the package being opened for the first time.

Together, the first and second tamper evident-structure envelop the mating profiles and slider device. When incorporated into a package, the first tamper-evident structure encases the slider device and zipper closure, and the second tamper evident-structure is positioned between the mating profiles and the package interior.

摘要： Closure arrangements for use with flexible packages include a zipper-type closure, which, after initial sealing, if access is gained to a package interior, the arrangements provide evidence of that access. In certain embodiments, a closure with mating male and female profiles is used which, after initial sealing of the package, if access is desired to the package interior, one of the male or female profiles breaks, to prevent a resealing of the package. In other embodiments, after initial mating of the male and female closure profiles in order to seal the package, if access is desired to the package interior, the package walls are torn in order to gain access. In other embodiments, after initial sealing of the package by mating of the male and female profiles, if access is desired to the package interior, the male and female profiles are deformed, such that they no longer mate to provide a secure closure. Methods for using the arrangements herein are also provided.

The lockable orientation includes a first closure member secured to a first package wall, and a second closure member secured to a second package wall. Preferably, the first closure member is secured to the first wall with a peelable sealing arrangement. The unlockable orientation includes the first closure member being separated or peeled from the first wall. The closure arrangement is transformed from the lockable orientation to the unlockable orientation in response to a pulling force separating the first closure member from the first wall. In some arrangements, the peelable sealing arrangement is pigmented to provide a visual indication that the package has been opened after an initial sealing of the closure arrangement. Methods for constructing and using a flexible package are provided herein.

The portions removed include the securing head and the neck. The male profile is adapted for attachment to the second panel section of the bag, and is arranged to interlock with the first and second legs. A method of constructing a flexible bag, and a method for using a flexible bag are also described.

摘要： A zipper for a recloseable bag provides a heat-settable portion for adhering the zipper to a polymeric bag at a temperature below that known in the art in order to prevent permanently sealing the bag closed inadvertantly. The zipper includes elongated base strips having flange portions for adhering the inner surface of the base strip to the outer surface of a polymeric bag. The base strip is adhered to the polymeric bag by a heat-setting compound coextruded, coated or laminated to the inner surface of the flange. The flange portions may be thinner than other portions of the base strips to permit the flange portions to be fused to the polymeric bag at a lower temperature than previously practiced.
