摘要： An improved vacuum storage bag having assorted monitoring means and a method of using the same. The vacuum storage bag is comprised of a flexible impermeable bag that has a storage area and a storage area access opening. A valve is provided to the bag that is in fluid communication with the storage area. Resealable sealing means extend across the storage area access opening. The resealable sealing means are capable or repeatedly allowing the storage area to be selectively maintained in a substantially hermetically sealed on unsealed condition. One-time-use sealing means extend across the storage area parallel to the resealable sealing means. The vacuum storage bag further has a radio frequency identification tag that extends substantially across said storage area access opening. In an alternative embodiment of the vacuum storage bag, the radio frequency identification tag is replaced with tamper indicating means.

摘要： A reclosable bag has a bag body and a reclosable, zipper-type closure. The reclosable closure has extruded male and female interlocking profiles extending along opposing sides of an opening of the bag and are constructed to releasably interlock. The closure also has an extruded valve flange extending from one side of the closure to engage an opposing surface of the closure when the profiles are interlocked. The flange and opposing surface are constructed to separate in response to pressure within the bag for venting the bag with the profiles interlocked, and to increase a contact pressure therebetween in response to presence of a vacuum in the bag. The closure also defines a vent passage extending from an air space between the opposing sides of the opening and between the interlocking profiles and the valve flange. In use, the interlocking profiles are engaged to close the bag opening, and then the bag sides are compressed together to force entrapped air out through the vent opening, deflecting the valve flange away from its opposing surface.

摘要： A non-reopening fastener includes complimentary first and second profiles of substantial length and disposed adjacent to one another so as to be pressed into interlocking relation. The first profile includes first ribs including a main rib and two outer ribs disposed on opposite sides of the main rib. The first ribs include hook members along the width of the first ribs. The second profile includes two inner ribs adapted to be positioned between the outer ribs and the main rib. The two inner ribs have projections for engaging the hook members. The second profile also includes a pair of guide ribs disposed on opposite ends of the second profile. The first profile engages the second profile to lock the profiles together. The above configuration prevents the first profile from being pulled out of the second profile without damaging the fastener or a bag to which the fastener is attached, thereby providing evidence of tampering.

摘要： A security zipper is provided, which includes a consumer side zipper pair and a product side zipper pair, where each zipper pair is capable of secure mating. Between the zipper pairs is an intermediate flange pair which is layered with an adhesive as well as an adhesive enhancer to securely connect the intermediate flange pair. A slider is provided over the consumer side zipper pair, the product side zipper pair and the intermediate flange pair which mates the zipper pairs and connects the intermediate flanges so that the zipper is securely closed. A bag is also disclosed, which includes the security zipper and a connected product side pouch. In addition, a method for manufacturing the bag is disclosed.
