    • In a bearing constituted by a plural-layer slide member, the plural-layer slide member comprises a resin layer of polytetrafluoroethylene as a slide member and a backing strip to which the resin layer is bonded. A fitting hole having a depth exceeding the thickness of the resin layer is formed from the resin layer side. A temperature measuring metallic member formed of a white metal is fitted in the fitting hole. A temperature sensor is positioned within the temperature measuring metallic member. This bearing permits an accurate detection of its temperature. Further, in an oil cooled screw compressor having a bearing lubricating oil supply pipe, a slide surface of the bearing is covered with polyether ether ketone. Even if foaming occurs in the oil, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a mechanical trouble such as galling.

    • A screw compressor 1 comprises a screw compressor body 2 having a pair of female and male screw rotors 21 meshed with each other encased in a rotor casing 22, and a motor casing 4 having a motor 3 for driving a male rotor 21b of the screw rotor 21 encased therein. The screw compressor body 2 and the motor casing 4 are connected integrally. The male rotor 21b and the motor 3 are connected by a common rotor shaft 23. In the common rotor shaft 23, the counter motor 3 side is supported by a rolling bearing and a projecting end of the motor 3 is supported by a rolling bearing 7 on the motor side, and a portion between the motor 3 and the screw rotor 21 is supported by an intermediate rolling bearing 6.

    • A radial load reducing device includes a high-pressure fluid chamber defined to face an outer circumferential portion of a rotating shaft or an outer circumferential portion of a rotating body integrally rotating with the rotating shaft at a first position where a radial load to be applied to the rotating shaft is directed, and a low-pressure fluid chamber defined to face the outer circumferential portion at a second position opposite to the first position. The fluid pressure in the high-pressure fluid chamber is applied in a direction counter to the direction of application of the radial load to be applied to the rotating shaft, thereby reducing the radial load to be applied to the rotating shaft.

    • A water-lubrication type screw fluid machine has a first non-contact seal, a second non-contact seal and a lip seal disposed between a rotor chamber and a bearing for a rotor shaft.
