摘要： A hydrodynamic bearing includes an annular inner surface surrounding a rotary shaft to support and guide rotation thereof about the longitudinal rotation axis thereof in an upstream to downstream rotation direction. The inner surface includes an orifice for supplying lubricant and first and second discharge recesses distributed on either side of the supply orifice according to the width of the bearing. The first discharge recess opens into a first side groove and the second discharge recess opens into a second side groove. The first and second side grooves extend along a portion of the circumference of the bearing on lateral sides of the inner surface of the bearing, from the respective first and second discharge recesses towards a third discharge recess located downstream of the two recesses, to direct the lubricant collected by the first and second discharge recesses towards the third recess to be discharged outside the bearing.

摘要： A hydrostatic bearing apparatus includes a bearing metal having a hydrostatic portion that allows a grinding wheel shaft to be rotatably supported. The hydrostatic portion has a bearing clearance, a bearing surface portion, a plurality of pockets, and partition plates. Clearances are each formed between the corresponding partition plate and an edge of the corresponding pocket in a rotating direction of the grinding wheel shaft. The clearances are formed in the pocket at upstream and downstream ends in the rotating direction. The bearing clearance has a first bearing clearance and a second bearing clearance. The second bearing clearance is larger than the first bearing clearance.

A tilting-pad bearing device includes a plurality of bearing pads disposed around a rotation shaft so as to support the rotation shaft rotatably, a support member interposed between the plurality of bearing pads and a bearing housing supporting the plurality of bearing pads, the support member supporting each of the plurality of bearing pads pivotably, and an oil-supply mechanism configured to supply a lubricant oil to at least one oil groove formed on a bearing surface of at least one of the plurality of bearing pads. The at least one oil groove is disposed inside and outside a contact area of the bearing surface which is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the rotation shaft when the rotation shaft is stopped.

摘要： Rolling mill bearings incorporate bearing bushings with pluralities of hydrostatic pad recesses, that are preferably in conjunction hydrodynamic bearings also formed within the bushing. Each recess has an isolated lubricant passage that is adapted for coupling to a separate isolated source of pressurized lubricant. In some embodiments herein, the isolated pressurized lubricant source is supplied by a dedicated outlet of a pressure pump. In this manner each hydrostatic pad recess has a dedicated pressurized lubricant supply that is not interrupted by loss of lubricant pressure events in other bearing pads or elsewhere within the rolling mill lubrication system.

A flow of a lubricating oil from the fifth minute gap to the fourth minute gap is caused by a plurality of dynamic pressure generating grooves arranged within the fluid dynamic bearing apparatus. This flow causes air bubbles mixed in the lubricating oil within the fifth minute gap to flow toward the third minute gap and be discharged to an outside of the fluid dynamic bearing apparatus through the third minute gap. The fluid dynamic bearing apparatus further includes a plurality of dynamic pressure generating grooves and an annular groove.
