    • An audio transmission system including a wireless digital microphone unit which detects audio signals and wirelessly transmits the detected audio signals based on adjustable transmission settings and transmission parameters, and a central unit. The central unit has a monitor unit for monitoring and analyzing a frequency spectrum of an available frequency band, a link adaptation unit which adapts the microphone's transmission settings and parameters based on the results of the monitor unit, and a transmitting/receiving unit for receiving wirelessly transmitted audio signals from the wireless microphone unit and for transmitting transmission settings and transmission parameters via a return channel to the wireless microphone unit. The microphone's transmission settings and parameters are modified based on the transmission settings and transmission parameters transmitted via the return channel, which have a center frequency of a channel, a selection of a modulation method and parameters thereof, a data rate, and/or a channel encoding.

    • A method and device for the pictorial representation of space-related data, for example, geographical data of the earth. Such methods are used for visualising topographical or meteorological data in the form of weather maps or weather forecast films. Further fields of application are found in tourism, in traffic control, in navigation aids and also in studio technology. The space-related data, for example topography, actual cloud distribution, configurations of roads, rivers or frontiers, satellite images, actual temperatures, historical views, CAD-models, actual camera shots, are called up, stored or generated in a spatially distributed fashion. For a screen representation of a view of the object according to a field of view of a virtual observer, the required data are called up and shown only in the resolution required for each individual section of the image. The sub-division of the image into sections with different spatial resolutions is preferably effected according to the method of a binary or quadrant tree.

    • The invention relates to a preamplifier circuit with at least one transistor that couples a signal input to a signal output. The signal input is supplied with a radio-frequency signal. In addition, the preamplifier circuit includes a switch that switchably couples the input to a reference potential and which, when the preamplifier is inactive, is closed. Hence, when the preamplifier is inactive, the input is put into a low-impedance state and the amplifier and downstream assemblies are protected from unwanted high-power interference signals. It is thus also possible to use other, fully integratable filter types in a transceiver's reception signal processing chain instead of external surface acoustic wave filters with a low level of complexity and without drawbacks.
